The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hernandez throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Fowler on the side of the head.
Fowler tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Hernandez lands with an overhand left.
Fowler tries to close the distance and clinch but Hernandez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hernandez lands a left and a right that send Fowler crashing to the mat, dazed. Hernandez thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Isaiah Fowler has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hernandez feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Fowler sprawling to the canvas! Fowler rolls over backwards and springs off the ropes and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Hernandez finish him?!
Fowler is rocked!
Fowler takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Hernandez measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Fowler! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Hector Hernandez!
