The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Krueger lands a jab-cross combination. Steggman misses the shot to the body. Krueger throws a right and a left that both miss. Krueger misses with a series of wild punches.

Krueger looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Steggman is fending him off so far but Krueger persists. Nope, Steggman circles away and we're back to standing. A left and a right from Krueger both land. Nice combination. Krueger gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Steggman to score an easy takedown into full guard. Steggman passes easily into side control. Nice work. Steggman wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Krueger, who protects the arm well. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Steggman looks gassed! Krueger is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Krueger is looking to improve his position but Steggman isn't that keen on the idea. Krueger is working hard here to advance position. Steggman with shots to the head and body - Krueger looks very uncomfortable down there. Krueger can't escape the position.
Krueger bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Steggman wants to sweep but no luck.

Steggman is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Steggman manages to kick Krueger off! Krueger jumps back into Steggman's guard. Krueger sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Steggman's guard. Krueger is looking to take a break and control but Steggman is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are battling for position here. Steggman manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Krueger has gone for a leg lock! Steggman slips out almost immediately though and dives into Krueger's guard. Krueger is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Krueger has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Steggman can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Steggman lands a couple of decent looking shots. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Freddy Krueger will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Steggman throws a hook but Krueger avoids it easily. Freddy Krueger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Krueger lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Steggman at a distance.

A combination from Krueger does no damage. Krueger scores with a one two! Steggman had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Steggman throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Krueger throws a hook but Steggman avoids it easily.

Steggman looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Krueger! Krueger is desperately trying to improve his position but Steggman has a good base and remains in mount. Krueger regains half guard. Christian Steggman has got the better of the ground game so far. Steggman wants to control but Krueger is keeping him busy. Krueger looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Steggman prevents Krueger from improving his position. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Steggman doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Steggman manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Krueger. Steggman is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Krueger has managed to escape the submission attempt.

A close second round but Christian Steggman will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Krueger's corner calls for a 1-2. Krueger obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Krueger tries to bum rush Steggman with a series of wild strikes but Steggman uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Krueger gets the takedown into side control. Krueger is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Steggman is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Steggman can't do much from the bottom here. Krueger passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Steggman! Steggman sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Krueger is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Steggman doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Krueger. Steggman is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Krueger's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Krueger's back! Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Steggman lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Steggman is trying to control the position but Krueger postures up. Krueger thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
