Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Andrei Sherstikov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lamar Fernandez!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fernandez gets the takedown into side control.
Sherstikov might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Sherstikov looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Sherstikov seems a little lost for a moment, as Fernandez dominates the positioning.
Fernandez stands up and beckons Sherstikov to his feet.
Fernandez shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Fernandez decides to return to a standing position.
Sherstikov really is a fat lump.
Sherstikov dodges the punch combination from Fernandez.
A solid leg kick lands there for Fernandez.
Fernandez looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Fernandez drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fernandez's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Fernandez content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fernandez passes Sherstikov's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Fernandez looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sherstikov with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Fernandez passes to side control.
Fernandez has hold of Sherstikov's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Sherstikov seems comfortable defending it but Fernandez has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Sherstikov is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Sherstikov is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Fernandez couldn't care less - he's delighted!
