Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between ERS One (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dr Alban (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dr Alban is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Dr Alban! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, William Gold and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! One tries to close the distance and clinch up but Alban swats him away and circles back towards the center. Alban should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. One scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
It looks like Dr Alban has been cut. One tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Alban swivels and escapes. One cracks the inside of Alban's front leg. Alban ducks under a wild hook from One. One wants to clinch. Alban is looking to clinch but One is avoiding it.

Alban stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. One swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Alban tries to clinch but fails miserably and One counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Alban avoids the body shot from One.

Alban lands a head shot. Alban tries to bum rush One with a series of wild strikes but One uses good footwork to avoid the assault. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Alban. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. One is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. One moves nicely into side control. One works to advance to full mount. Alban defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Alban seems to have recovered his senses. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Alban has eaten all the pies! Alban tries to get back to half guard but can't. One working Alban over with strikes here. That's five minutes gone in the round. One tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. You can see the frustration on Alban's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Alban wants to control but One is having none of it. Alban really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Alban wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by One.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Alban can do anything to dispel that myth. One is working to isolate an arm here. It's a choreographed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! One extends the arm and Alban is forced to tap!
