Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Craig Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michio Suzuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carter comes to the cage accompanied by Linkin Park - New Divide. Suzuki has chosen Dragonball Z Theme as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Craig Carter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Michio Suzuki! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Suzuki throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Suzuki swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Suzuki changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Carter tries to avoid it but Suzuki manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Carter to the ground. Carter escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. A big right from Suzuki misses. Suzuki slips under a jab from Carter. Suzuki doesn't manage to clinch there - Carter circles away.
Suzuki wants to clinch. Suzuki swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Suzuki moves out of range as Carter strikes. Suzuki throws a hook but Carter blocks it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Suzuki throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Carter sees it coming and avoids it easily. Suzuki fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Carter manages to avoid it. Suzuki looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Suzuki throws a body punch but Carter moves out of range. Suzuki is looking to clinch but Carter is avoiding it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice body punch from Carter. Carter misses with a two punch combination.
Carter missing with a left hand there. Suzuki was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Suzuki takes a kick to the side of the head. Suzuki throws a hook to the side of Carter's head but Carter sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Carter jabs at Suzuki's body. Suzuki bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Suzuki cracks Carter with a good jab. Carter misses with a leg kick. A jab from Suzuki misses. Michio Suzuki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Suzuki tries to clinch up but Carter circles away and keeps his distance. Suzuki checks the leg kick nicely there.
A telegraphed right hand from Carter misses the target. Suzuki lands a nice hook to Carter's body. Carter takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Suzuki throws a predictable looking body shot
and Carter cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carter swinging wildly here.
Danga de danga de dang - Suzuki scores with a four punch combination! Suzuki doesn't succeed with the takedown and Carter counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Craig Carter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michio Suzuki. Suzuki lands a really nice looking cross but Carter seems unphased.
Carter throws a solid leg kick but Suzuki takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Carter. A shot to de liver by Suzuki. Beautiful body shot. Suzuki shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Carter as he jumps to the side. Suzuki ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Carter moves away. Carter punishes Suzuki's body with a nice straight punch. Suzuki is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Carter's half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Carter trying to control from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Suzuki is looking to take a break and control but Carter is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Carter is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Ground and pound from Suzuki. Carter trying to control from the bottom.
Carter wants to improve his position but Suzuki is controlling well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Suzuki is just content to waste time from the top position. Carter takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Suzuki tries to free his leg and advance position but Carter is retaining full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Suzuki must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Carter keeping moving, preventing Suzuki from controlling successfully. Suzuki stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Carter swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Carter tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Suzuki fails with the takedown letting Carter counter with a right hand. Suzuki lands a jab to Carter's midsection. Suzuki missing with a left hand there. Carter was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Carter thows a body shot but no joy. Carter misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Suzuki.
Suzuki fails in his attempt to clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Craig Carter dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Carter misses the shot to the body. Suzuki lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Carter circles away quickly and effectively. Suzuki clinches but Carter breaks the clinch and Carter counters with a thumping low kick. Carter with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Suzuki to score with a decent uppercut. Suzuki keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

so Carter counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Carter won't allow Suzuki to sweep him here. Suzuki keeping moving, preventing Carter from controlling successfully. Carter passes easily into side control. Nice work. Suzuki tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Suzuki being controlled for a moment. Suzuki is looking for a sweep. Suzuki is trying to work for a sweep but Carter has mounted him! A nice elbow there by Carter. Suzuki is trying desperately to improve position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Carter controlling his opponent. Suzuki is looking to improve his position but Carter isn't that keen on the idea.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carter takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Carter trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Carter scoring with strikes but Suzuki is staying in there. Suzuki really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Suzuki is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A looping hook to the body misses from Suzuki. Carter does a little dance to reset his feet. Suzuki digs a good body shot into Carter's ribs. Craig Carter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carter misses with a straight left. Suzuki has his takedown stuffed and Carter counters with a leg kick. Suzuki takes a swing at Carter's ribcage but misses. Carter scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Suzuki looks to throw the jab but Carter is out of range. Suzuki looks to clinch and Carter counters with a nice uppercut. Michio Suzuki has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carter pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Suzuki is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Carter rather than just go for the knockout. Carter throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Carter works the jab nicely. Carter connects with a nice looking jab.
Suzuki darts in trying to clinch and Carter counters with a good low kick that Suzuki was not able to check. Suzuki misses with a jab to the body

That's three minutes gone in the round. Carter throws a front kick aimed at Suzuki's knee but Suzuki avoids it well. Carter moves out of range as Suzuki strikes. Suzuki throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Carter has managed to clinch.
Carter is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Suzuki wants a takedown but no success here.

Craig Carter is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Carter lands a shoulder strike. Suzuki has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Carter avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Carter working some nice short punches in the clinch. Carter manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Suzuki misses with a hook from the clinch. Carter is trying to stall.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Suzuki cracks Carter with a nice body shot. Suzuki tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Suzuki misses with some punches.
Suzuki swings wildly with an uppercut but Carter uses good head movement to avoid it. A short body shot lands from Carter as the two fighters clinch.

A quick uppercut on the inside from Carter. Carter tries to stall but Suzuki uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Suzuki is working for takedown but Carter is calmly controlling the position for now. Carter lands on the inside with an uppercut. Suzuki's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Suzuki throws a right and a left that both miss. Carter throws a shot to the body.
Suzuki wants to clinch up but Carter keeps it at a distance.
And that's the end of the fight! Craig Carter showed his dominance in that final round. Well Carter has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
