Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dmitriy Boyko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Kross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dmitriy Boyko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mike Kross! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boyko leaves Kross with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Boyko has closed the distance and engaged Kross in a clinch.
Boyko pulls guard. Kross drops back looking for a leg! Boyko is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Boyko manages to kick Kross off! Kross jumps back into Boyko's guard. Boyko scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Boyko has Kross up against the cage in a clinch.
Boyko pulls guard successfully.
Kross postures up.
Kross tries to free his leg and advance position but Boyko is retaining full guard. Kross is looking to work some ground and pound but Boyko has wrist control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kross trying to control but Boyko is working from the bottom. Boyko is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Kross wanted to stand there but Boyko had control of the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kross misses with a double jab.
Boyko gets a clinch. Kross is trying to break the clinch but Boyko has him pressed against the cage. Boyko jumps into guard, dragging Kross to the mat.
Kross wants to control from the top but Boyko keeps moving. Boyko trying to keep a closed guard but Kross is proving a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Kross has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Boyko is proving hard to escape from. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Boyko holds on and takes a little breather. Boyko is working an open guard so Kross takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Boyko dives in and grabs Kross's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kross pushes down on Boyko's head and hops out. Boyko is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boyko slips a jab and a cross from Kross.
Kross shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Boyko is trying to defend but Kross finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Kross tries to stand and escape but Boyko is controlling the position. Kross is looking to advance position but Boyko won't allow it. Kross seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Kross escapes and gets back to his feet. Boyko scores with a nice body kick.
Kross throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Kross with a poor takedown so Boyko counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Boyko wants to get up but he can't break Kross's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Kross thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Kross looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kross working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Boyko doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Boyko manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Kross is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Kross not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dmitriy Boyko dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Kross tries to clinch and Boyko counters with a takedown into side control. Kross wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kross tries to bench press Boyko off him but Boyko keeps the position. Boyko is looking to take a break and control but Kross is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Kross tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Boyko wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Kross is trying to control Boyko's posture but Boyko avoids it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Boyko moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kross sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Kross is defending against the submission attempts here by Boyko.
Kross is looking to control Boyko's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kross avoid being mounted? Kross slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Kross tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Kross is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Boyko is controlling him. Kross keeping full guard, as Boyko tries to pass. Kross trying to keep a closed guard but Boyko is proving a slippery customer.
Kross seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Kross wants to sweep here but Boyko controlling him for the moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kross is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Boyko moves out of range as Kross throws a body kick.
Kross is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Kross shoots and misses and Boyko counters by moving into the clinch. Kross jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Boyko walks away with a smile on his face. Kross gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Kross will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Dmitriy Boyko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Kross. Boyko shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kross sprawls well. Kross wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Boyko gets slowly back to his feet. Kross tries to clinch but Boyko moves out of range. Kross fails with the takedown. Kross dives in and grabs Boyko's left leg, looking for a takedown. Boyko pushes down on Kross's head and hops out.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Kross misses with the combination.
Boyko instigates a clinch. Boyko escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kross throws a low kick, looking for Boyko's leg but Boyko calmly moves out of range. Kross gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Boyko counters by clinching up. Kross is trying to drag Boyko to the mat but Boyko just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Kross wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kross wants to break free but Boyko has control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dmitriy Boyko dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Kross thows a body shot but no joy. Kross fails with the takedown. Boyko bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Kross looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Boyko lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Kross backs up against the cage.
Boyko tries to bum rush Kross with a series of wild strikes but Kross uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Boyko slips a jab and a cross from Kross.
Kross doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Kross misses with a takedown and Boyko counters by clinching up. Boyko prevents a takedown attempt there.
Dmitriy Boyko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Kross. Boyko manages to pull guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boyko seems keen to control Kross's posture. Boyko not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Kross wanted to stand there but Boyko had control of the position. Boyko might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Kross trying to control the position from guard on top but Boyko is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Boyko looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Kross stands up over Boyko, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Kross wanted to stand there but Boyko had control of the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Kross trying to control the position from guard on top but Boyko is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kross shoots and misses and Boyko counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Kross is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Boyko is defending well for now. Kross tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Kross tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Boyko avoids it. Kross has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Boyko avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. A short right from Boyko on the inside. Kross drops down looking for an ankle pick but Boyko pulls his leg out and moves away.

Kross looks to land a body kick but Boyko moved away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boyko circles away from the clinch attempt.
Boyko gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Kross is looking to work some ground and pound but Boyko has wrist control. Boyko has momentary wrist control but Kross slips an elbow through the middle. Kross drops back looking for a leg! Boyko is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Boyko manages to kick Kross off! Kross jumps back into Boyko's guard. Kross trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kross sitting in guard, not really doing much. Boyko keeping moving, preventing Kross from controlling successfully. Kross is in close to Boyko's body, working some short punches and elbows. Kross drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kross jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Mike Kross has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Dmitriy Boyko is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Kross throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Boyko works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Dmitriy Boyko showed his dominance in that final round. Well Boyko has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
