The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva misses with a double jab.
Parantainen looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Silva throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Parantainen closes this distance looking for a takedown but Silva circles away.
A nice inside leg kick there by Silva. That's going to slow Parantainen down.
Silva throws a leg kick which misses Parantainen's front leg but catches the back leg as Parantainen tries to avoid it.
Parantainen shoots in but Silva avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Silva lands a big head kick that sends Parantainen tumbling to the mat! Silva takes a step backwards and waves Parantainen back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Silva is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Parantainen flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Parantainen is out cold! Silva holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
