Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Devon Saunders!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rartley Appaport!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saunders shoots in but Appaport avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Saunders will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Saunders shoots for a takedown but Appaport saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Devon Saunders. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Saunders.
Appaport shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Saunders counters with a nice double leg into side control. Appaport won't be happy with that.
Appaport tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Saunders presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Appaport is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Appaport keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Appaport manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Saunders not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Saunders is breathing heavily.
Appaport blocking the ground and pound attempt from Saunders.
Saunders is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Appaport doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Saunders.
Appaport moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Appaport manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Saunders defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Appaport.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Appaport working for a submission but Saunders is keeping him at bay.
Appaport working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Saunders turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Appaport off and cradles Saunders's limp body as Appaport celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Rartley Appaport!
