Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Takumi Gunma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glen Burnett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takumi Gunma! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Glen Burnett! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yukihiro Shimada and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Burnett throws a right hand that Gunma ducks under and follows up with a left that Gunma also avoids with ease. Burnett throws a body punch but Gunma moves out of range. Burnett keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Gunma looks for a takedown but Burnett sprawls well. Gunma fails to land the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Takumi Gunma. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gunma shoots for a takedown but Burnett saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Gunma fails with a takedown attempt from distance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gunma looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Burnett is fending him off so far but Gunma persists. Nope, Burnett circles away and we're back to standing. Gunma throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Gunma fails with the takedown. Gunma misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Burnett fails with the takedown and Gunma counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Gunma tries to free his leg and advance position but Burnett is retaining full guard. Burnett is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Gunma working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Gunma throwing strikes from guard but Burnett blocks nicely. Gunma keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Burnett's head. Burnett keeping moving, preventing Gunma from controlling successfully. Burnett keeping full guard, as Gunma tries to pass. Gunma is breathing heavily. Burnett trying to keep a closed guard but Gunma is proving a slippery customer.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Gunma changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Burnett tries to avoid it but Gunma manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Burnett to the ground. Burnett escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gunma shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Burnett throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Gunma counters with a nice double leg into side control. Burnett won't be happy with that. Burnett is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Gunma has just dragged him back down to the mat. Gunma wants to lay and pray for a moment but Burnett keeps working. Burnett is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Gunma moves into full mount! Gunma working the ground and pound effectively.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Gunma working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Gunma avoids the attempt from Burnett to control. Burnett really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gunma. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Burnett really wants to buck Gunma off and get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gunma prevents Burnett from getting the reversal. Gunma scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Burnett?
Burnett has left one of his arms exposed and Gunma doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Burnett screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
