Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Larry Glover (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chan Lei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lei is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Rising Dawn. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Larry Glover!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Chan Lei!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Winston Howard and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lei wants to land a leg kick but Glover is out of range.
Lei swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Glover avoids a punch combination nicely.
Lei lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Glover lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Lei closes this distance looking for a takedown but Glover circles away.
Glover throws a combination. Lei tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
It looks like Chan Lei has been cut.
Glover dips to his left and cracks Lei with an uppercut!
Glover scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Glover scores with the left hand. Lei knows he should have avoided that one.
Lei misses with a hook. Glover ducked under it nicely.
Lei moves out of range of the strikes.
Glover thows a left - swing and a miss!
Larry Glover seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lei tries a head kick but it misses.
Glover fails to land with a series of punches.
Glover defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lei.
Glover chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Lei misses with a looping left.
Glover stalks Lei and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Lei's face. Lei staggers backwards, shaken.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lei tries for a takedown but Glover sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Larry Glover has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chan Lei.
Lei walks into a left hand.

A big right from Glover misses.
Lei closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Glover to the mat! Glover manages to get full guard.

Lei has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Glover manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lei manages to get himself to full guard.

Glover holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Lei tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Glover wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Lei.
Lei controlling the pace for now.

Glover is working to get back to half guard.
Lei takes Glover's back.
Glover staying busy and making it hard for Lei to control.
Lei is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Glover with him. Glover is trying to defend but Lei has an arm under the chin now! Glover grimaces and is forced to tap out!
