Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
mijares avoids the head kick by Hawks.
Hawks tries to clinch up but mijares circles away and keeps his distance.
Hawks moves in looking to clinch but mijares pushes him off.
mijares fails with an attempt to clinch.
Hawks swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A slapping body kick lands there for Hawks.
mijares looks gassed!
Hawks closes this distance looking for a takedown but mijares circles away.
Hawks looks to land a combination but mijares avoids it well.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Hawks.
mijares stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and mijares wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryan Hawks. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hawks shoots for a double leg takedown but mijares sprawls well. He's pushed Hawks's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Hawks fails to land the takedown.
Hawks darts in trying to clinch
and mijares counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hawks's guard now.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's one minute gone in the round.
mijares is in close to Hawks's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Hawks working for a triangle but mijares defends it easily.
Hawks wants to stand up but mijares is controlling him.
mijares is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Hawks has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. mijares is looking to defend but Hawks has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for mijares! Hawks pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, mijares taps out and this one is all over!
