Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gunther Sprecht (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anatoli Valutchko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Anatoli Valutchko enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gunther Sprecht!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Anatoli Valutchko!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Joseph Jones and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valutchko lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.


It looks like Gunther Sprecht has been cut.

Sprecht shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Sprecht trying to control the position from guard on top but Valutchko is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Valutchko bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sprecht's guard.
Valutchko won't allow Sprecht to sweep him here.

Sprecht looking for a guillotine here but Valutchko defends easily.
Sprecht could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Valutchko wants to control from the top but Sprecht keeps moving.

Sprecht working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Valutchko doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Valutchko manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Valutchko really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sprecht. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Valutchko gets to his feet. Sprecht looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Sprecht changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Valutchko tries to avoid it but Sprecht manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Valutchko to the ground. Valutchko escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Valutchko lands with a nice combination. Sprecht backs away looking to recover.
Valutchko stuns Sprecht with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Sprecht is breathing heavily.

Sprecht closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Valutchko is looking for a sweep. Sprecht is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Valutchko is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Sprecht's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sprecht's back!
Valutchko has good solid back control here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sprecht manages to reverse the position and now he's in Valutchko's guard. Nice work there by Sprecht.

Valutchko lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Sprecht!
Sprecht is squirming around, avoiding Valutchko's attempts to control the action.
Valutchko avoids the attempt from Sprecht to control.
Sprecht is wriggling around trying to escape.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Valutchko trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Valutchko controlling the pace for now.
Valutchko with shots to the head and body - Sprecht looks very uncomfortable down there.
Sprecht is trying to escape the mount.
Valutchko controlling his opponent.

Despite being in the dominant position, Anatoli Valutchko just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Valutchko goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.


Gunther Sprecht's cut is getting worse.

Valutchko clinches.

Valutchko breaks from the clinch.
Sprecht shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sprecht is looking to clinch.
Valutchko fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Sprecht checks it well.
Valutchko uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Valutchko looks to land a combination but Sprecht avoids it well.
Sprecht fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gunther Sprecht. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Left hook, right uppercut from Valutchko.
Sprecht wants to clinch
and Valutchko counters with a straight right hand.


Sprecht is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Sprecht has a takedown stuffed.
Valutchko scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Oh Sprecht is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Valutchko is looking to slow Sprecht down with leg kicks.
Sprecht seems to have got his legs back now.
Valutchko changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Valutchko misses with a kick to the body.

Valutchko moves into range and clinches up with Sprecht.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Gunther Sprecht's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

and Valutchko counters with a series of strikes that really hurt Sprecht! The ref looks into his eyes and sees nobody home - he's called the fight! This one is all over!
