Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Ivan Kurochkin and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emperor fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Avent misses with a takedown
and Emperor counters with a shoot takedown. Avent fights it but they end up in guard.
Avent wants to sweep here but Emperor controlling him for the moment.
Avent had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Emperor defends it easily.
Emperor drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Emperor jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Avent is trying to keep Emperor in close.
Emperor is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Emperor postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Avent is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Emperor, into his guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Avent postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Emperor wants to sweep but no luck.
Avent trying to control but Emperor is working from the bottom.
Avent sitting in guard here, content to control.
Avent wants to pass the guard but Emperor is keeping the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Avent has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Emperor to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Avent is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Emperor pulls down on the head and he's put Avent to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Last Emperor!
