Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paul Atrell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Jingles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Paul Atrell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jimmy Jingles! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Hugh Johnson and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jingles tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Atrell paws at him with a jab and circles away. Atrell tries to move into range but Jingles moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Atrell throws a head kick but Jingles moves out of range.
Atrell tries to clinch but Jingles is having none of it. Atrell lands a front kick. Atrell moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Jimmy Jingles seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A chopping leg kick lands by Atrell. Jingles throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Atrell sees it coming and avoids it easily. No luck for Jingles with that takedown attempt. Jingles avoids the head kick by Atrell.
Jingles shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Atrell but Atrell pushes him off and we're back to square one. Jingles misses with an uppercut. Atrell saw that one coming. Jingles fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Atrell, pushing him back against the cage. Jingles with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Atrell. Atrell breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Atrell wants to get back to his feet but Jingles is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Atrell avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Jingles trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Jingles prevents Atrell from getting back to his feet. Jingles preventing the sweep. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Atrell keeping moving, preventing Jingles from controlling successfully. Jingles won't allow Atrell to get back to his feet.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Atrell tries to close the distance and clinch but Jingles swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Atrell buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Jingles takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jingles drives through with a takedown into guard. Atrell has control of Jingles's left arm, preventing Jingles from doing any damage. Atrell is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Atrell has his hands on Jingles's head, controlling the position. Atrell utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Jingles is looking to work some ground and pound but Atrell has wrist control. Jingles wants to control from the top but Atrell keeps moving. Atrell wants to get back to his feet but Jingles is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Atrell has his foot on Jingles's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jingles works his way back into a safe position though.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. The fight stays on the outside here - Atrell looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Atrell throws a nice outside leg kick. Jingles steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Atrell. A nice leg kick lands there from Atrell. Jingles fails in his attempt to clinch. Jingles shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Atrell as he jumps to the side. Atrell fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jingles, pushing him back against the cage. Jingles tries to stall but Atrell uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Jingles shoots in looking for a takedown. Atrell tries to sprawl out of it but Jingles keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Atrell manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Jingles looks gassed! Jingles throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Atrell's waist but Atrell gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jingles off to one side. Atrell closes the distance and pushes Jingles back into the cage. Atrell lands a nice elbow.
It looks like Jimmy Jingles has been cut. Atrell lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Jingles tries to stall but Atrell uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Atrell pushes off an throws an elbow but Jingles leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. With the fighters up against the cage, Atrell throws an elbow but misses. Jingles has picked Atrell up - he's going for a ride! Jingles dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Jingles with the ground and pound but Atrell uses the opportunity to regain guard. Atrell trying to control the position here. Jingles won't allow Atrell to get back to his feet. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Atrell preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paul Atrell dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jimmy Jingles's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Jingles clinches up with Atrell and pushes him back against the cage. Jingles has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Atrell is trying to keep an underhook but Jingles manages to get the takedown into half guard. Atrell controlling the position for now. Atrell wants to get back to full guard. Atrell might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Jingles not landing any meaningful shots this time. Jingles seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Atrell does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Atrell wants to improve his position but Jingles is controlling well.
Jingles throws a strike but Atrell avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Jingles scoring with some ground and pound. Jingles landing with the ground and pound. Jingles throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Jingles has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Atrell is trying to control the position but Jingles postures up. Jingles throwing strikes but missing. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jingles thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Atrell's head. Jingles sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Atrell defending well though. Jingles missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Jingles looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Atrell with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Jingles is taking a breather. Atrell says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Jingles not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Jingles takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Jingles is breathing heavily. Jingles wants to clinch and Atrell counters with a good low kick that Jingles was not able to check. Jingles moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Atrell goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Jingles on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Atrell. Atrell obviously looking to wear him down.
Jingles closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Atrell blocking the ground and pound attempt from Jingles. Atrell tries to kick Jingles off but Jingles keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Jingles lands a nice short elbow. Atrell is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Jingles stops Atrell from getting back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jingles seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Atrell does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Jingles might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Atrell kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Paul Atrell is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Jingles misses with a takedown and Atrell counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Jingles moves forwards but Atrell connects with a nice, crisp jab. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A kick lands to the mid section there for Atrell. Atrell connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Jingles momentarily.
Atrell instigates a clinch. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. A right handed body shot lands from Atrell.
Atrell tries to score a body lock takedown but Jingles shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Atrell tries to land knees in the clinch but Jingles avoids the damage to the body. Atrell throws an elbow but it's blocked.

That was a close second round but I would say that Paul Atrell will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Jimmy Jingles's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

A solid body kick from Atrell. Atrell gets in close and instigates a clinch. Atrell pushes Jingles back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Jingles blocks an elbow strike. Jingles has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Atrell is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Atrell looking to stall.
Atrell escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Atrell connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Atrell is looking to slow Jingles down with leg kicks. Atrell has managed to clinch.
Atrell pulls guard effortlessly. Jingles throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Atrell works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Jingles trying to control but Atrell is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jingles trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Atrell preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Atrell is looking to stand up but Jingles isn't so interested in that idea. Jingles with a flurry of punches that miss. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jingles accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Atrell tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jingles swats him away and circles back towards the center. Jingles takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Atrell throws a nice inside leg kick. Atrell scores with a hook. Paul Atrell is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Jingles avoids the elbow strike from Atrell, against the cage.
And that's the end of the fight! Paul Atrell showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Atrell, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
