Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vladimir Vodkakov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andrew Brooks!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vodkakov takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Vodkakov closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Brooks moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Vodkakov throwing strikes but missing.
Brooks manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Vodkakov manages to get himself to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Brooks drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Brooks jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Brooks is looking to work some ground and pound but Vodkakov has wrist control.
Brooks seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Vodkakov can't keep his opponent in guard - Brooks advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Brooks is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Vodkakov doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Brooks.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Brooks prevents Vodkakov from improving his position.
Vodkakov is breathing heavily.

Brooks is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Brooks performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Brooks not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Brooks perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Brooks moves into full mount! Vodkakov won't be happy about that!

Brooks jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Vodkakov is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Vodkakov and Brooks has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Brooks looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Brooks is working to tighten is grip on Vodkakov's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Vodkakov has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Brooks is really squeezing tight and eventually Vodkakov passes out! Brooks breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
