Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Frank Shamrock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damien Snerve (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Frank Shamrock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Damien Snerve!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Paulsen Ambrosius and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Snerve has taken the fight to the clinch.

Snerve turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Shamrock being controlled for a moment.
Shamrock is looking for a sweep.
Shamrock is working hard here to advance position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Snerve creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Shamrock sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Shamrock is looking for a sweep.
Snerve landing a few strikes.
Shamrock is not content to let Snerve control the position.
Snerve scoring with punches and elbows.

Shamrock is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Snerve asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Shamrock tries to improve position but can't.

Snerve decides to stand up, so the ref orders Shamrock to his feet.
Snerve misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Shamrock misses with a punch to the body.
Shamrock has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Snerve is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Snerve works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Shamrock has his foot on Snerve's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Snerve works his way back into a safe position though.

Shamrock is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Snerve defends well.

Shamrock looks to score with a jab to the body but Snerve is just out of range.

Snerve tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Shamrock swivels and escapes.

Snerve closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Snerve lands in his opponent's guard.

Shamrock had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Snerve defends it easily.
Shamrock is breathing heavily.

Shamrock is working an open guard so Snerve takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Shamrock looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Shamrock doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Snerve misses with a head kick.

Snerve shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Shamrock's guard.
Snerve sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Shamrock's guard.

Snerve stands up from half guard.
Shamrock thows a body shot but no joy.

Snerve instigates a clinch.

Snerve breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Snerve scores a takedown into full mount!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Shamrock has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.
Shamrock holding both Snerve 's hands and preventing any damage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Snerve is landing with strikes from the back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Shamrock avoids the head kick by Snerve.
Shamrock scores with a punch to the head.
Shamrock works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Shamrock lands a right hook to the body.
A punch combination from Shamrock misses.
Shamrock throws a series of punches but Snerve moves out of range.
Snerve drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Snerve closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Shamrock throws a nice looking combination but Snerve bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Shamrock dips to his left and cracks Snerve with an uppercut!
Shamrock lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Shamrock.

Frank Shamrock has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Damien Snerve.
Snerve throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Shamrock counters with a one-two to the body.
Shamrock keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
The fight stays on the outside here - Snerve looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Snerve has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Shamrock throws a hook to the side of Snerve's head but Snerve sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A looping hook to the body misses from Shamrock. Snerve does a little dance to reset his feet.

Frank Shamrock is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Snerve closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Shamrock to the mat! Shamrock manages to get full guard.
Snerve trying to control but Shamrock is working from the bottom.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Snerve's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Damien Snerve showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Shamrock's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


A lazy body kick from Snerve
and Shamrock counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Shamrock scores with a decent looking hook.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Snerve.
Shamrock throws out a powerful jab.

Snerve changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Shamrock looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Shamrock tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Snerve has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Shamrock!

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Snerve has hold of Shamrock's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Shamrock manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Snerve prevents Shamrock from getting the reversal.
Snerve tries to control but Shamrock wriggling away.
Snerve looking to control and managing it successfully.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Shamrock tries to buck Snerve off but he can't manage it.

Snerve looking to secure an arm triangle but Shamrock defends it well.

Snerve jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Shamrock is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Shamrock and Snerve has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Snerve decides to stand back up.

Snerve shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Shamrock misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Snerve throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Shamrock misses with a wild combination.
Snerve with a poor takedown
and Shamrock connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Frank Shamrock has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Damien Snerve.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

and Shamrock counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Snerve!

Frank Shamrock has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
