The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Thrana as Mcguff shoots in.
Thrana with a lazy takedown attempt
so Mcguff counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Thrana keeping full guard, as Mcguff tries to pass.
Mcguff wants to control from the top but Thrana keeps moving.
Mcguff with a flurry of punches that miss.
Mcguff is pushing down on Thrana's leg trying to pass to half guard. Thrana is fighting to maintain full guard but Mcguff has managed to sneak the leg through.
Thrana is trying to get back to full guard.
Mcguff keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Thrana is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Mcguff trying to control the action but Thrana is working from the bottom.

Mcguff trying to advance position but Thrana counters by regaining guard.
Mcguff wants to pass the guard but Thrana is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Mcguff closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Thrana is not content to let Mcguff control the position.
Who's going to make the next move?

Mcguff tries to move into full mount but can't pass Thrana's legs.
Mcguff is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Thrana is trying to escape and Mcguff transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Thrana is forced to tap! Nice work there by Mcguff! Very nice indeed!
