Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Drago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and GREGORY ANDERSON (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ivan Drago has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ivan Drago! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, GREGORY ANDERSON! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Lou da Vinci and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck for ANDERSON with that takedown attempt. GREGORY ANDERSON seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Drago looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Drago gets a takedown into half guard. ANDERSON tries to roll over but Drago keeps him under control. ANDERSON works his way to full guard. Good work. ANDERSON not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Drago stops ANDERSON from standing up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. ANDERSON is looking to clinch. ANDERSON shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Drago moves into the clinch. ANDERSON tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Drago just stands there and leans against the cage. Ivan Drago has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of GREGORY ANDERSON. Drago prevents a takedown attempt there.
ANDERSON lands a nice knee to the body. ANDERSON escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. ANDERSON wants to clinch. Drago cracks ANDERSON with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Drago keeps the fight on the outside. Drago stuffs the takedown attempt from ANDERSON. ANDERSON gets slowly back to his feet. ANDERSON tries to clinch up but Drago circles away and keeps his distance. Drago closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Drago lands in his opponent's guard. ANDERSON wants to stand and escape but Drago is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. ANDERSON working a defensive guard but Drago passes into half guard.
Drago is trying to control the action in half guard but ANDERSON is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. ANDERSON works his way to full guard. Good work. ANDERSON is looking to stand up but Drago isn't so interested in that idea. ANDERSON pulls Drago in to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. ANDERSON scores with a nice shot. ANDERSON throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Drago trying to control but ANDERSON is working from the bottom. ANDERSON has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Drago can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Drago postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Drago fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. ANDERSON sprawls well initially but Drago persists and gets the takedown into half guard. ANDERSON makes his way to full guard. A much better position for ANDERSON. ANDERSON tries to strike from the bottom.
Drago working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Drago trying to control the position from guard on top but ANDERSON is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. ANDERSON working for a triangle but Drago defends it easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. ANDERSON is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. ANDERSON wants to stand but Drago is controlling the position.

Drago advances to mount. Drago is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but ANDERSON is surviving well by controlling Drago's body position as best he can. Drago trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. ANDERSON working to try and regain half guard.
ANDERSON is squirming around, avoiding Drago's attempts to control the action. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Drago controlling the pace for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but GREGORY ANDERSON will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Drago closes the distance looking to clinch and ANDERSON counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. ANDERSON moves into the clinch. The referee is keeping an eye on ANDERSON - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
ANDERSON fails to pull guard.
Drago scores with a nice hook to the head. A battle for position here, against the cage. ANDERSON displaying some good clinch control by pressing Drago up against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. ANDERSON unloads a knee to the mid-section. Drago wants to get back to striking at distance but ANDERSON won't allow it.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Drago works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Drago forces his way into half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. ANDERSON manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Drago has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. ANDERSON looking for a guillotine here but Drago defends easily.

ANDERSON utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. ANDERSON keeping moving, preventing Drago from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Drago drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Drago jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. ANDERSON is looking for a triangle here but Drago uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
ANDERSON is not content to let Drago control the position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Drago crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from ANDERSON - the referee stops the clock and Drago gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says ANDERSON. Drago manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in ANDERSON's half guard. ANDERSON is defending against the submission attempts here by Drago.

And that's the end of the fight! Ivan Drago showed his dominance in that final round. Well Drago has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
