Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Christian Steggman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dean Reed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the ring it seems that Christian Steggman has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Christian Steggman seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Christian Steggman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dean Reed! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steggman scores a takedown into full mount! Steggman swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Reed is now in Steggman's guard. A big mistake from Steggman there, giving up the dominant position! Steggman has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Reed can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Steggman looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Reed trying to control but Steggman is working from the bottom. Reed slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Reed is pushing down on Steggman's leg trying to pass to half guard. Steggman is fighting to maintain full guard but Reed has managed to sneak the leg through.
That's one minute gone in the round. Steggman is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Reed wants to pass to mount but Steggman is defending the position. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Steggman is trying to get back to full guard. Reed throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Reed throws a jab when Steggman was well out of range. Reed with a lazy takedown attempt so Steggman counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Steggman trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Steggman lands a couple of decent looking shots. Steggman has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Steggman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Reed swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Christian Steggman will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Reed is looking for the choke from the back position but Steggman is controlling his hands well. Reed biding his time, looking for the opening.

Steggman drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Reed manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Steggman has Reed in his guard. Reed passes Steggman's left leg - he's now in half guard. Steggman regains full guard. Nicely done. Steggman looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Steggman throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Steggman passes Reed's left leg - he's now in half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Reed wants to control but Steggman is keeping busy and won't allow it.
And that's the end of the fight! Christian Steggman showed his dominance in that final round. Well Steggman has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
