Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Zlo Dokraja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Stephens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Zlo Dokraja! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John Stephens! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Damien Edna and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stephens shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Dokraja defends it nicely. Stephens tries to close the distance and clinch but Dokraja swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Some wild striking there from Dokraja.
Stephens dives in and grabs Dokraja's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dokraja pushes down on Stephens's head and hops out. Stephens shoots in for a double leg but Dokraja sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Zlo Dokraja has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Stephens. Stephens tries to clinch up. Dokraja will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Dokraja fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Stephens tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Dokraja cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Stephens looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Stephens pushing down on Dokraja's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Stephens is working for a submission of some sort.

Zlo Dokraja dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Dokraja misses with a combination
and Stephens counters with a single leg into guard. Dokraja didn't expect that. Dokraja is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Dokraja is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Stephens is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Stephens thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Dokraja wants to stand and escape but Stephens is having none of it. Stephens has gone for a leg lock! Dokraja slips out almost immediately though and dives into Stephens's guard. Stephens had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dokraja defends it easily. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dokraja has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Stephens is proving hard to escape from. Stephens looking for a sweep. Not yet Stephens, not yet. Dokraja wanted to stand there but Stephens had control of the position. Stephens is looking for a triangle but Dokraja pushes his legs off easily.
Dokraja wants to get up but he can't break Stephens's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Stephens is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Dokraja wants to get up but he can't break Stephens's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Stephens looking for a sweep. Not yet Stephens, not yet. Dokraja gets to his feet - Stephens follows without any prompting. Dokraja swings and misses with a hook to the body.
John Stephens seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A punch combination from Dokraja misses. Dokraja throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Stephens counters with a nice double leg into side control. Dokraja won't be happy with that. Stephens tries for a kimura but Dokraja is defending well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dokraja pushes Stephens away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Stephens gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

He has the arm isolated but Dokraja is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Dokraja tries to improve position but can't. Stephens gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Stephens clinches but Dokraja breaks the clinch and Dokraja counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Stephens misses with a looping left. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Dokraja!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Stephens tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Dokraja counters with a lovely straight right hand! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Stephens showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Dokraja throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Stephens stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Dokraja throws a left and a right that both miss
and Stephens counters into the clinch. Nicely done. A body shot lands from Dokraja.

Stephens gets a trip takedown into half guard. Stephens is looking for a kimura but Dokraja is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Stephens to get the leverage. Stephens wants to work for an arm triangle but Dokraja is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Dokraja moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dokraja pulls Stephens in close to prevent any damage. Stephens drops back, looking for a kneebar! Dokraja looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Dokraja looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Dokraja! Stephens is looking to reverse the position. Dokraja decides to stand up, so the ref orders Stephens to his feet. Dokraja lands a jab-cross combination.

Dokraja ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Dokraja cracks Stephens with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Dokraja goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Stephens avoids a punch combination nicely.
Dokraja misses with the combination.
Stephens fails with the takedown and Dokraja counters with a three punch combo that has Stephens backing up. Stephens nods at Dokraja to acknowledge the strikes. Dokraja works Stephens's body with a nice hook.
And that's the end of the fight! Zlo Dokraja showed his dominance in that final round. I think Dokraja has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
