Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gregory St Pierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kalle Balle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Gregory St Pierre has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Gregory St Pierre seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Gregory St Pierre! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Kalle Balle! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Richard Clark and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! St Pierre fails with a takedown attempt. St Pierre rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Balle moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Balle scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Balle thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. St Pierre is trying to control Balle's posture but Balle avoids it. Balle wants to control but St Pierre is keeping him busy. Balle has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
That's one minute gone in the round. St Pierre tries to clinch but Balle moves out of range. St Pierre throws the kick towards the body but Balle avoids it. Balle shoots and misses and St Pierre counters with a takedown into side control. St Pierre creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Balle sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Balle is trying to get back to half guard. St Pierre wants to lay and pray for a moment but Balle keeps working. Check out the look on St Pierre's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Balle gets back to half guard. St Pierre is looking for a kimura but Balle is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for St Pierre to get the leverage. St Pierre not landing any meaningful shots this time. St Pierre looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Balle trying to control but St Pierre postures up.
St Pierre lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. St Pierre thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Balle's head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. St Pierre is thwarting Balle's attempts to control the position. St Pierre slips a nice elbow through Balle's hands, connecting with Balle's forehead. Balle gets back to full guard.
St Pierre is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. St Pierre content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. St Pierre throws and elbow that misses. Balle uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in St Pierre's guard. Nice move by Balle!
That's four minutes gone in the round. St Pierre wants to get back to his feet but Balle is in a dominant position and won't allow it. St Pierre is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. St Pierre is working hard here to advance position. Balle trying to control the position from guard on top but St Pierre is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. St Pierre is adopting a defensive guard. And thats the end of the round the fighters go back to their corners.

Balle gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and St Pierre counters with a nice double leg into side control. Balle won't be happy with that. St Pierre wants to stand but Balle has his arm trapped. St Pierre tries to get to his feet but Balle is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with St Pierre in his guard. St Pierre won't allow Balle to sweep him here. St Pierre connects with a couple of short punches. St Pierre trying to stand up but can't free himself from Balle's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. St Pierre pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Balle is keeping the position for now. St Pierre thows a big elbow that misses. St Pierre would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Gregory St Pierre overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. St Pierre pushes down on Balle's leg and manages to get into half guard. St Pierre tries to stand but his arm is trapped. St Pierre is pressing down on Balle's thigh, looking to free his foot. Balle is holding on for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Balle tries to get to full guard but St Pierre has control of the leg.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. St Pierre wants to clinch up but Balle keeps it at a distance. Balle doesn't succeed with the takedown and St Pierre counters with a nice double leg into guard. Balle is breathing heavily. Balle not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
St Pierre lands a couple of decent looking shots.
That's three minutes gone in the round. St Pierre with a flurry of punches that miss. St Pierre is working Balle over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. St Pierre works over Balle with some ground and pound from guard. St Pierre wants to stand but Balle is controlling his posture from full guard. St Pierre stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Balle swivels though and keeps the full guard. St Pierre postures up and lands a big shot to Balle's brow. St Pierre trying to control the position from guard on top but Balle is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as St Pierre accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. St Pierre working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Balle's head. Balle controlling St Pierre's posture. Balle is trying to keep St Pierre in close.
And thats the end of the round the fighters go back to their corners.
Gregory St Pierre dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
St Pierre fails with the takedown and Balle decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in St Pierre's guard. St Pierre tries to strike from the bottom.
Balle won't allow St Pierre to sweep him here. Balle prevents St Pierre from getting back to his feet. St Pierre wants to get back to his feet but Balle passes into half guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. St Pierre with a poor takedown so Balle counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Balle won't allow St Pierre to sweep him here. St Pierre is pulling down on Balle's head to control his posture. Balle forces his way into half guard. St Pierre wants to improve his position but Balle is controlling well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Balle wants to pass the guard but St Pierre is defending well. St Pierre is refusing to be controlled, as Balle sits in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Balle takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's three minutes gone in the round. St Pierre is trying to get back to full guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. St Pierre lands a jab to the head.
St Pierre takes a swing at Balle's ribcage but misses. St Pierre wants to clinch. St Pierre misses with a hook to the body
so Balle counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. St Pierre wants to sweep but no luck.
That's four minutes gone in the round. St Pierre wants to stand but Balle is controlling the position. Balle drops back looking for a leg! St Pierre is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and St Pierre manages to kick Balle off! Balle jumps back into St Pierre's guard. St Pierre on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if St Pierre tries to get out of the position. St Pierre keeping moving, preventing Balle from controlling successfully. St Pierre wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. St Pierre wants to stand and escape but Balle is having none of it.
And that's the end of the fight! Kalle Balle comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well St Pierre has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
