Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Primo Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and UMM DA (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Primo Gracie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, UMM DA! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Thiago Cunha and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gracie bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Gracie gets the takedown into side control. DA wants to control but Gracie postures up. DA tries to improve position but can't. Gracie tries for a kimura but DA is defending well. DA stops Gracie from passing to mount. Gracie tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gracie has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! You can see the frustration on DA's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Gracie looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Gracie wants to control but DA is keeping him busy.

DA tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Gracie wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Gracie working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. DA tries to buck Gracie off but Gracie is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. DA is trying to escape and get back to his feet. DA is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. DA trying to control from the bottom.
Gracie is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
DA really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. DA tries to get to full guard but Gracie has control of the leg.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. DA throws a wild combination but nothing lands. DA throws a nice head kick!
DA lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
That's three minutes gone in the round. DA swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
DA darts in and clinches Gracie up against the cage. DA jumps into guard, dragging Gracie to the mat.

Gracie wants to control from the top but DA keeps moving. Gracie pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. DA is keeping the position for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. The fight moves into the clinch position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Primo Gracie dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

DA decides to pull guard. Gracie wants to control from the top but DA keeps moving. Gracie slips nicely into half guard. Gracie is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. DA is pressing down on Gracie's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Gracie might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Gracie is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Gracie drops back looking for a leg! DA is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and DA manages to kick Gracie off! Gracie jumps back into DA's guard. Gracie preventing the sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Gracie takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
DA fails with the takedown and Gracie counters with a shoot takedown. DA fights it but they end up in guard. DA not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
DA thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Gracie thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Gracie postures up.

Primo Gracie dominated that second round. That's time! Gracie's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Gracie shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in DA's guard. Gracie thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. DA looking to sweep here. No luck so far. DA trying to keep a closed guard but Gracie is proving a slippery customer.
DA looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
DA looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gracie is one step ahead there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. DA is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Gracie slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. DA lands a nice hook to Gracie's body. Gracie takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Gracie shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. DA is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Gracie prevents DA from getting the reversal. Gracie jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but DA manages to avoid the submission attempt. DA gets back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. DA is not content to let Gracie control the position. Gracie is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, DA has managed to free his arm - good work. Gracie is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Gracie has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can DA defend it? Gracie steps over the head and cranks it - DA is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Gracie!
