Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between George Sotiropoulos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Alcano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sotiropoulos comes into the arena with Indigo Children blaring out of the sound system. Alcano is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Three Stars & A Sun. George Sotiropoulos has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alcano defending well as Sotiropoulos loads up on a big left hand.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Sotiropoulos tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Sotiropoulos wants to control the pace but Alcano is squirming around nicely.

Sotiropoulos's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Sotiropoulos stuffs the takedown attempt from Alcano. Alcano gets slowly back to his feet.
Alcano changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sotiropoulos tries to avoid it but Alcano manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sotiropoulos to the ground. Sotiropoulos escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

George Sotiropoulos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jose Alcano.

Alcano closes the distance and clinches up with Sotiropoulos, looking for a takedown. Alcano pushes Sotiropoulos against the cage but Sotiropoulos circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Jose Alcano is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Sotiropoulos lands a hook that stumbles Alcano back into the cage. Sotiropoulos follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Alcano to the canvas! Sotiropoulos pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Alcano has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
