Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zack Daniels!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Reed!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Cecil Peabody and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reed ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Reed connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Daniels avoids a punch combination nicely.
Daniels tries to clinch but Reed moves out of range.
Reed looks to land a combination but Daniels avoids it well.
Reed throws a series of punches but Daniels moves out of range.
Reed throws a right hand that Daniels ducks under and follows up with a left that Daniels also avoids with ease.
Reed looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Reed closes the distance and clinches.
Reed slows down the pace here.
Reed throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Danielss head.
Daniels's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Daniels blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Reed wants to break the clinch but can't.
Daniels wants a takedown.
Reed has a couple of punches blocked by Daniels.

Daniels keeps control of Reed as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Reed breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Reed will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Daniels fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Reed misses with a straight right.
Reed misses with a wild combination.
Reed wants to clinch up but Daniels keeps it at a distance.
Daniels tries to work over Reed's front leg with a kick but Reed checks it.
Daniels looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Reed is fending him off so far but Daniels persists. Nope, Reed circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zack Daniels. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Reed gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Daniels working for a triangle but Reed defends it easily.

Daniels is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Reed has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Reed trying to control the position from guard on top but Daniels is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Daniels manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Daniels has control of Reed's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Reed regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Daniels is breathing heavily.
Daniels pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Daniels showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Reed.
Reed misses with a double jab.
Daniels slips under a jab.

Daniels moves into range and clinches up with Reed.

Reed breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A punch combination from Reed misses.

Daniels gets a takedown into half guard.
Daniels wants to control but Reed is keeping him busy.
Reed won't allow Daniels to pass to mount.

Daniels is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Reed is trying to get back to full guard.

Reed is trying to control but can't.

Daniels is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Reed doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Daniels.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Daniels is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Reed is just riding it out for now. Daniels eventually gives up the hold.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Daniels prevents Reed from improving his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Reed throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Reed misses with a kick to the body.
Daniels looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Daniels keeps the fight on the outside.
A combination from Reed does no damage.
Mark Reed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Reed circles away from the clinch attempt.
Reed connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Daniels fails in his attempt to clinch.
Some wild striking there from Reed.
Reed misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Reed displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Mark Reed is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Reed jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Reed throws a right and a left that both miss.
Daniels throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Reed's waist but Reed gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Daniels off to one side.
Reed misses the shot to the body.

Daniels closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Daniels is trying for a kimura here. Reed looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Daniels wins by kimura!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Zack Daniels!
