9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eric Lawler! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, John Mangel and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dog smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Lawler uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dog.
Lawler displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Dog throws out the jab. Nice straight punches there by Lawler. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Lawler. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Lawler moves forwards but Dog connects with a nice, crisp jab. This has been an exciting period of action! Dog throws the left hand but Lawler avoids the punch easily. Dog rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lawler moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Dog loads up on a big right hand but Lawler slips the punch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Lawler in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off. Dog misses with a hook.
