Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Blippy Janks! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dish Water! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Radbod Blank and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Water fails with a takedown attempt. Water throws a nice looking combination but Janks bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Water dives in and grabs Janks's left leg, looking for a takedown. Janks pushes down on Water's head and hops out. Janks lands a jab to the head.

That's going to take a lot out of Dish Water. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Water scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Water is working hard to pass the guard. Janks is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Janks regains half guard. Janks looking for submissions off his back. Janks looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Water looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Water wants to control but Janks is keeping him busy. Janks makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Janks. Janks has his foot on Water's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Water works his way back into a safe position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Water controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Water trying to control but Janks is working from the bottom. Water trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Janks is looking for a triangle but Water pushes his legs off easily.

Janks doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Janks manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Water is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Janks working some strikes from top position. Janks thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Water working a defensive guard here.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Water leaves Janks with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Water has his takedown stuffed and Janks counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Water! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Janks checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Water clinches but Janks breaks the clinch and Janks counters with a nice double leg into side control. Water won't be happy with that. Janks is looking to take a break and control but Water is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. You can see the frustration on Water's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Janks creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Water sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Who's going to make the next move? That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Janks remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Water dodges the ground and pound from Janks. Water tries to improve position but can't. Water looking for a sweep but Janks has passed into full mount! Oh no! Water sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Janks stops Water from getting back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Janks with a flurry of punches that miss. Janks landing with the ground and pound. Janks content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Water not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Janks accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Janks postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Janks stands up over Water, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Water looking to control.
Janks content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Water trying to keep a closed guard but Janks is proving a slippery customer.
Water is breathing heavily. Janks pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Water is keeping the position for now. Water utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Water escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Janks gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Water is trying to keep Janks in close.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Water with a lazy takedown attempt and Janks counters with a nice double leg into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
