Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tank Abbott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Maxwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tank Abbott! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ryan Maxwell! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Patrick Alders and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Abbott shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Maxwell as he avoids it easily. Abbott fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Maxwell avoids it really well and circles away. Maxwell throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Abbott was covering up waiting for the punch and Maxwell finishes the takedown easily into guard. Maxwell is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Maxwell drops back looking for a leg! Abbott is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Abbott manages to kick Maxwell off! Maxwell jumps back into Abbott's guard. Maxwell drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Abbott manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Maxwell has Abbott in his guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Abbott would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Abbott is fighting to break Maxwell's control of his arms but Maxwell is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Abbott tries to stand but Maxwell is controlling from the bottom. Abbott trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Maxwell pulls Abbott in close to prevent any damage. Abbott wants to stand but Maxwell is controlling his posture from full guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Abbott is breathing heavily.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Abbott gets caught flat footed, as Maxwell shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Maxwell's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Maxwell passes Abbott's left leg - he's now in half guard. Maxwell works his way into side control. Maxwell working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Abbott pushes Maxwell away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Maxwell gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Maxwell is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Abbott has escaped the position, nice work there. Maxwell is trying to get an arm triangle but Abbott is defending well. Maxwell goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Abbott has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Maxwell but great work by Abbott. Maxwell is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Abbott tries to stand but his arm is trapped. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ryan Maxwell dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Abbott tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Maxwell paws at him with a jab and circles away. Maxwell closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Abbott is trying to buck Maxwell off. Maxwell wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Abbott, who protects the arm well. Maxwell tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Maxwell wants to lay and pray for a moment but Abbott keeps working. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Abbott is pushing Maxwell's head away, looking to escape. Maxwell manages to hold on to the position though. Maxwell is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Abbott knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Maxwell goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Abbott rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Maxwell's guard! Nice work there by Abbott!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Abbott trying to stand up but can't free himself from Maxwell's guard. Maxwell had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Abbott defends it easily. Abbott wants to stand and escape but instead Maxwell has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Maxwell drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Abbott manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Maxwell has Abbott in his guard. Abbott would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Abbott stands up and waves to Maxwell to follow him. Abbott doesn't manage to clinch there - Maxwell circles away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Abbott fails in his attempt to clinch. Abbott closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Abbott lands in his opponent's guard. Maxwell managing to control the position. Maxwell throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Abbott knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Maxwell on the ground. Abbott wanted to stand there but Maxwell had control of the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Ryan Maxwell will probably get the nod - 10:9. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

And that's the end of the fight! Ryan Maxwell comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Maxwell has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
