The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnston fails with a takedown attempt.
Cordoza throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Johnston sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Johnston takes a jab right on the kisser.
It looks like Brighton Johnston has been cut.
Cordoza cracks Johnston with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Johnston looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Cordoza finish him?
Johnston fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cordoza avoids it really well and circles away.
Cordoza jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Johnston shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Cordoza as he jumps to the side.
Ronnie Cordoza has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brighton Johnston.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Johnston circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Cordoza. Johnston falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Cordoza!
