The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Riggins fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Arcinas sprawls well initially but Riggins persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Riggins is pressing down on Arcinas's thigh, looking to free his foot. Arcinas is holding on for now. Arcinas is looking to improve his position.
Riggins lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Riggins lands with a punch from half guard. Riggins is nestled in close to Arcinas, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Riggins lands a big shot. Riggins has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Riggins cracks Arcinas with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Arcinas is bucking up trying to escape but Riggins cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Arcinas is in a horrible position here. Riggins smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Arcinas is rocked! Riggins loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Arcinas scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Riggins land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Riggins stands and salutes the crowd.
