Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Ellis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ellis comes to the cage accompanied by Applejuice by Taintstick. Ellis is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shane Carwin! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ellis slips a straight right by Carwin. Carwin looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Carwin is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Ellis!
Carwin scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Carwin trying to control from half guard but Ellis is working away. Ellis is trying to control but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Carwin not landing any meaningful shots this time. Ellis is looking to control Carwin's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ellis avoid being mounted? Carwin missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Ellis on his back here. That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Nice straight punches there by Ellis. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Ellis. Carwin shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Ellis avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Carwin. Ellis won't allow Carwin to pass to mount. Carwin is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Ellis! Carwin trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carwin goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Ellis is on top in guard.
Ellis stands up and waves to Carwin to follow him. Ellis scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Jab by Carwin. Ellis scores with a jab to the head.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Carwin tries to clinch up. Ellis ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. The fight stays on the outside here - Carwin looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Ellis fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Ellis really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Carwin swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Jason Ellis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Carwin dodges the punch combination from Ellis.

Ellis has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Ellis there as he acknowledges the shot. Carwin throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Carwin tries to clinch up but Ellis circles away and keeps his distance. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Carwin throws a left and a right that both miss
and Carwin takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Nice uppercut there from Ellis. Ellis slips under a jab. Carwin takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shane Carwin dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Carwin scores with a nice strike. Ellis slips a jab and a cross from Carwin.
Ellis throws a nice looking combination but Carwin bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Ellis shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Carwin is working an open guard so Ellis takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Carwin takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Carwin fails with the takedown and Carwin takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Carwin wants to clinch. Carwin misses with a takedown attempt - Ellis sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. A head kick by Carwin misses and Carwin takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Ellis stuns Carwin with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Ellis moves out of range of the strikes. Carwin fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Jason Ellis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shane Carwin. Carwin gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Ellis. Ellis stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ellis wants it to stay on the feet. Carwin closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ellis did well to prevent Carwin getting side control. Carwin is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Ellis manages to get to full guard. Ellis is pulling down on Carwin's head to control his posture.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ellis has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Carwin wants to stand but Ellis is controlling his posture from full guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Ellis holds on and takes a little breather.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carwin wants to stand and escape but instead Ellis has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Ellis will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Ellis gets to his feet. Carwin looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! The fighters circling - Carwin throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Carwin takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Carwin goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Ellis scores with a jab to the body. Carwin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ellis pinned against the cage. Ellis gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. A cross from Ellis lands. Carwin might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Carwin shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. A jab from Carwin misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A left and a right from Ellis both land. Nice combination. Ellis shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Carwin defends it nicely. Carwin throws a combination that misses and Ellis counters with a left and a right that stings Carwin. A big right from Carwin misses. Ellis dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Ellis is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Carwin avoids a punch combination nicely.
Carwin throws a hook but Ellis blocks it. Ellis throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Carwin's waist but Carwin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ellis off to one side. Carwin shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Carwin tries to stand but Ellis is controlling from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Jason Ellis will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Carwin throws a nice looking combination but Ellis bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carwin walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Carwin on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
And that's the end of the fight! Jason Ellis showed his dominance in that final round. I think Ellis has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
