Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mahdi Makungu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Preston Driver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Makungu kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Nelly - Heart of a Champion. Driver has chosen Candy Paint as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Tarja Halkonen and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Driver throws a good cross that connects.
It looks like Mahdi Makungu has been cut.
Driver looks to score with a jab to the body but Makungu is just out of range.
Makungu stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Makungu takes a swing at Driver's ribcage but misses.
Makungu bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Makungu connects with a good right hand that stumbles Driver. Driver circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Driver tries to close the distance and clinch but Makungu swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Driver lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Makungu closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Driver slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Driver is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Makungu is controlling him.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Driver throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Driver looks to land a left hand but Makungu moved out of range nicely.
Makungu shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Driver manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Makungu has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Makungu wants to control but Driver is having none of it.
Driver gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Driver missing with a left hand there. Makungu was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Makungu looks to land a combination. Driver sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

It looks like Preston Driver has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Makungu uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Driver.
Driver looks to land a right hand but Makungu moved out of range.
Makungu jabs Driver right on the nose. Driver blinks but takes it well.
Makungu lands with a nice body kick.
Driver misses with a looping right.

The crowd cheers as Makungu lands an impressive looking overhand right. Driver doesn't seem phased though.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Makungu.
Makungu lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Driver at a distance.
Makungu digs a good body shot into Driver's ribs.

Makungu paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Makungu shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Driver is trying to defend but Makungu finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Makungu throws and elbow that misses. Driver uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Makungu's guard. Nice move by Driver!
Makungu working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Driver doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Driver manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
