Alves lands with an uppercut that bounces Iakopa off the cage and back into rage.
Iakopa tries to clinch but Alves is having none of it.

Bo Alves seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Iakopa takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Alves wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Alves fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Iakopa manages to avoid it.
Iakopa moves in looking to clinch but Alves pushes him off.
Iakopa tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Alves misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Iakopa.
Iakopa changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Alves tries to avoid it but Iakopa manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Alves to the ground. Alves escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Iakopa looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Iakopa gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Alves throws a right hand that Iakopa ducks under and follows up with a left that Iakopa also avoids with ease.
Bo Alves is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Alves darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Alves takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Alves moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Alves is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Iakopa had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Alves scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Alves is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Iakopa rather than just go for the knockout.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Alves fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Iakopa looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Iakopa is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Alves.
Alves stalks Iakopa and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Iakopa's face. Iakopa staggers backwards, shaken.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bo Alves dominated that round.
That's time! Iakopa's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Iakopa takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Alves wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Alves closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Iakopa looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
Alves's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Alves duly obliges.
Iakopa is rocked!
Alves scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Iakopa doesn't seem bothered though.
Alves bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Oh Iakopa is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Alves jabs Iakopa right on the nose. Iakopa blinks but takes it well.
Iakopa looks up at the clock. Bad move! Alves lands a right hand from hell, dropping Iakopa. Alves pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bo Alves!
