Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dog Hercules!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Punchy McPunches!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Emerson Jorge and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hercules scores with a spinning back kick!
McPunches jabbing away but nothing is landing.
McPunches lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hercules circles away quickly and effectively.
McPunches misses with a few strikes there.

Hercules looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
McPunches wants to get back to his feet.
Hercules looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Hercules wants to control but McPunches is keeping him busy.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Hercules is trying to control. McPunches wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Hercules throws a strike but McPunches avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
McPunches preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Dog Hercules.

Punchy McPunches seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hercules pushes McPunches up against the cage in a clinch.
Hercules is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. McPunches is defending well for now.
Hercules is pushing McPunches up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Hercules wants the takedown. McPunches is fighting it off but Hercules persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in McPunches's guard against the cage.
McPunches doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Hercules stays in close to McPunches's body and controls the position.
Hercules sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed McPunches's guard.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
McPunches is controlling Hercules's trapped leg to prevent Hercules from advancing to side control.
Hercules not landing any meaningful shots this time.
McPunches is trying to stand up here but Hercules is controlling him well.
Hercules is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
McPunches blocking the ground and pound.

Hercules tries to score a power double leg takedown but McPunches sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hercules somewhat.

Hercules turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Hercules manages to end up in side control.

Hercules throws some wild stikes that McPunches manages to avoid easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McPunches keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Hercules has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Hercules has control of McPunches's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and McPunches regains control of the situation pretty easily.

McPunches takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hercules, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
