The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richer lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Ross tries to close the distance and clinch up but Richer swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Ross throws a low kick but it's checked well by Richer.

Richer throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Ross on the side of the head.
Johnathan Ross's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Richer connects with a good right hand that stumbles Ross. Ross circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Richer is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Ross had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
