Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tim Kabim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronald Mashburn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tim Kabim could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Ronald Mashburn's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tim Kabim! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ronald Mashburn! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Albert Achterberg and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kabim feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Mashburn wants to get back to his feet but Kabim passes into half guard.
Mashburn gets full guard. Kabim controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Kabim wants to stand but Mashburn has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mashburn looking to control.
Kabim postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Kabim trying to control but Mashburn is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Mashburn misses with a takedown attempt and Kabim counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Mashburn! Mashburn can't escape the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mashburn takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Kabim is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! A head kick misses from Kabim. Mashburn fails with the takedown and Kabim holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Mashburn should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Kabim has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Mashburn uses from the top position. Kabim working a defensive guard here.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Kabim has his foot on Mashburn's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mashburn works his way back into a safe position though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mashburn is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Mashburn looks gassed! Kabim looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mashburn is one step ahead there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kabim has his hands on Mashburn's head, controlling the position. Mashburn throwing strikes from guard but Kabim blocks nicely. Mashburn trying to control the position from guard on top but Kabim is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Kabim closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mashburn circles away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Mashburn fails with the takedown and Kabim counters with a nice double leg into side control. Mashburn won't be happy with that. Tim Kabim has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ronald Mashburn. Kabim misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Mashburn wants to control but Kabim postures up. Kabim tries to advance to mount but can't. Kabim laying and praying for a moment but Mashburn takes advantage and regains half guard. Mashburn works his way to full guard. Good work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kabim fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mashburn sprawls well initially but Kabim persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Kabim slows the pace down in half guard. Mashburn wants to get back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round. Mashburn makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Mashburn. Mashburn is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Kabim preventing the sweep. Mashburn keeping full guard, as Kabim tries to pass. Mashburn not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Mashburn tries for a takedown but Kabim circles away easily and Kabim counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Tim Kabim overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Mashburn is breathing heavily. Kabim not landing any meaningful shots this time. Kabim content to control rather than advance. Kabim knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mashburn on the ground. Kabim postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Mashburn to stand up. Mashburn fails with the takedown and Kabim counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kabim. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kabim gets to his feet. Mashburn looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kabim gets the takedown into side control. Mashburn is letting Kabim control him for a moment. Kabim tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kabim has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Kabim trying to control the position but Mashburn is working away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tim Kabim dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Mashburn clinches but Kabim breaks the clinch and Kabim moves into the clinch. Mashburn goes for a takedown attempt but Kabim pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Mashburn misses with a takedown attempt and Kabim counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Kabim has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Mashburn keeping moving, preventing Kabim from controlling successfully. Mashburn has momentary wrist control but Kabim slips an elbow through the middle. Kabim trying to control but Mashburn is working from the bottom. Kabim looking to sit in guard and control but Mashburn gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Mashburn takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Kabim tries to kick Mashburn off in order to stand up. Mashburn Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Kabim gets back to half guard. Mashburn wants to pass the guard but Kabim is defending well. Kabim is staying active underneath Mashburn, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mashburn prevents Kabim from improving his position. Kabim keeps control of the position for the meantime. Mashburn not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Mashburn trying to mount his opponent but Kabim defends it. Kabim tries to get to full guard but Mashburn has control of the leg.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Mashburn doesn't succeed with the takedown and Kabim counters with a single leg into guard. Mashburn didn't expect that. Tim Kabim has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ronald Mashburn.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kabim advances position into side control! Kabim is trying to get an arm triangle but Mashburn is defending well. Kabim looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Mashburn is avoiding damage well.
Ronald Mashburn has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kabim wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mashburn keeps working.
And that's the end of the fight! Tim Kabim showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kabim, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
