Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gustaf Nilsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugo Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hugo Black has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nilsson tries to clinch but Black is having none of it.
Gustaf Nilsson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Nilsson moves into range and clinches up with Black.
Nilsson jumps guard but Black stands there with Nilsson around his waist. Nilsson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Black lands a left hand that snaps the head of Nilsson backwards.

Nilsson pulls guard effortlessly.
Nilsson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Black's guard.

Black kicks Nilsson off and gets to his feet.
Black shoots in for a takedown but Nilsson shows good takedown defense.
Black takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Nilsson throws a sloppy head kick and Black moves out of range easily.
Nilsson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Nilsson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Black can do anything to dispel that myth.

Nilsson has gone for a leg lock! Black slips out almost immediately though and dives into Nilsson's guard.
Nilsson lands a couple of decent looking body shots there.

Black trying to control the position from guard on top but Nilsson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Nilsson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Black on the ground.

Nilsson isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Black stacks Nilsson on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Black!
Nilsson is breathing heavily.

Black decides to stand up, so the ref orders Nilsson to his feet.
Black shoots in looking for a takedown. Nilsson tries to sprawl out of it but Black keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Nilsson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Black throws a head kick that Nilsson semi-blocks.

Black closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Nilsson moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Nilsson can't keep his opponent in guard - Black advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Nilsson is staying active underneath Black, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Black looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Nilsson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Black missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Black throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Nilsson pushes Black off looking to stand but Black dives back in and keeps control.
Nilsson is refusing to be controlled, as Black sits in half guard.
Nilsson is trying to stand.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Black bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Black has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Nilsson is trying to improve his position.

Black stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Black swats away the attempt to clinch by Nilsson.
Nice takedown defense from Black. No joy for Nilsson on that attempt.
Nilsson connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Black tumbling to the canvas! Nilsson pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Black was done - good stoppage!
