Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peter Toothslayer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Ian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Peter Toothslayer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Ian! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Toothslayer has Ian up against the cage in a clinch.
Toothslayer scores with a shot to the side of Ian's head. Toothslayer has Ian pushed against the cage. Ian fails to pull guard.
Stalling in the clinch from Toothslayer.
Ian breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Toothslayer shoots for a takedown but Ian saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Toothslayer looks for a takedown but Ian sprawls well. Toothslayer feints and as Ian raises his hands in defense, Toothslayer changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Ian is adopting a defensive guard. Ian kicks Toothslayer off and gets to his feet. Ian has his takedown stuffed so Toothslayer counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ian throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Ian wriggles free and stands up. Toothslayer shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Ian counters with a shoot takedown. Toothslayer fights it but they end up in guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Peter Toothslayer. That's going to take a lot out of him. Toothslayer controls Ian momentarily but Ian frees himself. Toothslayer can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Ian controls the pace. Ian advances position into side control! Ian tries to advance to mount but Toothslayer instead regains half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Toothslayer has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ian is working away from the top position though. Toothslayer looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Toothslayer is breathing heavily. Ian trying to control the pace. Toothslayer wants to get back to full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Toothslayer is refusing to be controlled, as Ian sits in half guard. Toothslayer is looking to control Ian's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Toothslayer avoid being mounted? Toothslayer is trying to control but Ian passes into side control!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Ian postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Horrible takedown by Ian or perhaps it was just good defense by Toothslayer which made him look bad. Ian shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Toothslayer counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ian looking for a sweep. Not yet Ian, not yet. Ian is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Toothslayer's corner is telling him to maintain position. Toothslayer trying to control but Ian is working from the bottom. Ian can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Toothslayer controls the pace. Toothslayer would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ian tries to strike from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Peter Toothslayer dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Toothslayer circles away from the clinch attempt and Toothslayer makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Ian really felt that one! Ian fails with an attempt to clinch.
Toothslayer with a poor takedown and Ian counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Toothslayer's guard now. Ian must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Toothslayer wants to sweep here but Ian controlling him for the moment. Ian wants to control from the top but Toothslayer keeps moving. Toothslayer working for a triangle but Ian defends it easily.
Ian decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ian shoots in for a takedown but Toothslayer shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Ian pushes Toothslayer up against the cage in a clinch. Toothslayer could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Toothslayer stops a takedown attempt from Ian.
Ian fails to pull guard.
Peter Toothslayer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Ian. Ian gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Toothslayer.
Ian tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Ian jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Toothslayer walks away with a smile on his face. Ian gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Toothslayer fails with the takedown.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ian wants to clinch but Toothslayer slips to the side and Toothslayer counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Ian tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Toothslayer counters with a nice double leg into side control. Ian won't be happy with that. Ian is not content to let Toothslayer control the position. Ian struggling a bit here. Ian looks to move to half guard but instead Toothslayer has passed into mount! Damn! Peter Toothslayer overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Toothslayer trying to control but Ian is having none of it. Ian wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Ian tries to hold on but Toothslayer postures up. Toothslayer wants to control the pace but Ian is squirming around nicely. Ian is working to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Toothslayer tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Toothslayer with a couple of short strikes. Ian is working to get back to half guard.
Ian is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Toothslayer is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Ian can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Peter Toothslayer will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Toothslayer shoots in but no luck this time. Toothslayer closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Toothslayer lands in his opponent's guard. Ian looking to hit a scissor sweep but Toothslayer is one step ahead there. Toothslayer postures up.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Ian is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Toothslayer decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Ian gets the takedown into side control. I wouldn't like to be where Toothslayer is right now. Ian wants to lay and pray for a moment but Toothslayer keeps working. Toothslayer is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Ian is controlling him well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Toothslayer's face as Ian controls the position. Ian in the domination position with Toothslayer hanging on. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Toothslayer is trying to buck Ian off. Ian stands up. Peter Toothslayer is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Toothslayer fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ian, pushing him back against the cage. Toothslayer manages to pull guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Toothslayer being controlled here, momentarily. Toothslayer wants to sweep here but Ian controlling him for the moment. Ian advances to half guard. Ian is working for a kimura but Toothslayer is defending it quite comfortably.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Ian is just content to waste time from the top position. Toothslayer takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Toothslayer looking for subs off his back but Ian has passed one foot through into half guard.
Toothslayer is trying to get back to full guard.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Michael Ian. Well Toothslayer has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
