Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kaplan Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of London, Lenny Jones! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Atkins and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson tries to keep at a distance but Jones has taken the fight into the clinch. Jones breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Johnson plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
It looks like Lenny Jones has been cut. Johnson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jones circles away quickly and effectively. Johnson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Johnson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Jones blocks a head kick by Johnson.
Johnson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Jones slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Jones scoring with punches to the head and body. Jones stays in close to Johnson's body and controls the position. Johnson wants to stand up but Jones is controlling him. Johnson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Jones is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Jones fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Johnson, pushing him back against the cage. Jones has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Johnson uses from the top position. Jones is controlling Johnson's posture. Jones looking to hit a scissor sweep but Johnson is one step ahead there.

Jones has Johnson pulled in close to control his posture. Johnson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jones is proving hard to escape from. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Johnson slaps away a takedown attempt from Jones, before circling back to the center of the mat. Johnson misses with a few strikes there.

He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Jones is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Jones's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Jones is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones working over Johnson with some ground and pound. Johnson looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Jones lands a nice short elbow. Johnson wants to get back to his feet.
Jones decides to stand up. Johnson throws a right and a left that both miss.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones passes easily into side control. Nice work. A lull in the action here as Jones stalls from top position.

Jones controls the action. Johnson defends a prolonged rear naked choke attempt and turns nicely into his opponent's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Johnson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jones is proving hard to escape from. Johnson won't allow Jones to get back to his feet. Johnson won't allow Jones to sweep him here. Johnson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Johnson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jones is proving hard to escape from. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Johnson really wants to buck Jones off and get back to his feet. Jones landing punches. Johnson is trying to stand but he's just given Jones his back.
