Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Poly Styrene (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Styrene comes to the cage accompanied by Men at work - Land down under (Gotcha feat. Mission remix 2009). Michael Jackson will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Michael Jackson! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Hugh Johnson and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Styrene tries to clinch but Jackson is having none of it. Poly Styrene seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jackson tries to work over Styrene's front leg with a kick but Styrene checks it. Styrene avoids a punch combination nicely.
Styrene gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Styrene is looking to break free of the clinch but Jackson has double underhooks. Styrene is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Styrene landing some nice looking knees to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Styrene can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Jackson controls the pace. Jackson won't allow Styrene to get back to his feet. Jackson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Styrene looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jackson is one step ahead there. Styrene wants to get back to his feet but Jackson is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Jackson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Jackson is stalling in the full guard. Styrene is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Styrene lands a right hand that snaps the head of Jackson backwards. Styrene tries to throw a body punch but Jackson avoids it by throwing Styrene back against the cage. Jackson tries for a takedown. No joy.

That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Styrene gets back to half guard. Styrene is trying to stand back up but Jackson is controlling him
Styrene works his way to full guard. Good work. Jackson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Styrene dives on top into guard. Styrene wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving. Styrene has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jackson is proving hard to escape from. Jackson is looking for a triangle but Styrene pushes his legs off easily.
Styrene tries to stand but Jackson is controlling from the bottom. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jackson seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Styrene decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Jackson, up you get! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Michael Jackson will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Poly Styrene's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

It looks like Michael Jackson has been cut. Styrene looks to clinch and Jackson counters with a shoot takedown. Styrene fights it but they end up in guard. Styrene is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Styrene looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Styrene wants to stand and escape but Jackson is having none of it. Jackson wants to pass the guard but Styrene is keeping the position. Styrene wants to sweep here but Jackson controlling him for the moment. Styrene working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jackson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jackson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jackson tries to free his leg and advance position but Styrene is retaining full guard. Styrene might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Jackson is looking to stand up but Styrene won't let him. Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Styrene. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Michael Jackson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Styrene thowing shots but they're missing. Jackson throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Jackson is in all sorts of trouble here.

Lucky escape for Jackson because Styrene loaded up on that one. Jackson is looking to improve his position but Styrene isn't that keen on the idea. Jackson just holding on. That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Styrene tries to control but Jackson wriggling away. Jackson is trying desperately to improve position. Styrene scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Jackson is rocked! We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jackson can do anything to dispel that myth. Jackson takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Jackson is still in real trouble! Can Styrene finish him? Michael Jackson has got the better of the ground game so far. Styrene has control of Jackson's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Jackson regains control of the situation pretty easily.

He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. BOOM! Styrene connects with a massive shot to the dome!
