Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Brian Douglas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Rob Cunning! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Atkins and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Douglas clinches with his opponent.
A frustrated look appears on Cunning's face as he tries to break the clinch. Douglas tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Cunning avoids it. Douglas is looking to control Cunning's arms but Cunning gets an underhook and turns him. Now Douglas has his back to the cage. Maybe Douglas would be better served going for some more strikes rather than trying to control so much. Douglas is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Douglas with a knee to the head.
Douglas comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Cunning is trying to force a seperation but Douglas has the dominant position. Douglas putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Cunning in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Cunning looks gassed! Douglas lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Douglas unloads a knee to the mid-section. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Douglas avoiding damage.
Douglas creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Cunning's defenses. Douglas connects with a knee to the head.
Douglas lands a good knee to the midsection. Cunning won't want to take too many of those. Douglas using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Douglas scores with a knee to the head.
Nice elbow from Douglas. Cunning takes an elbow to the temple.
Cunning is rocked! Douglas with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Cunning is still on wobbly legs! Can Douglas finish him? Douglas creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Cunning's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Cunning drops to his knees and Douglas pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
