Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Stevie Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Choo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reyes comes to the cage accompanied by Riot. Daniel Choo is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Stevie Reyes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 2, fighting out of Sydney, Daniel Choo! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Summer Carpenter and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reyes misses with a wild combination.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Choo is defended easily by Reyes. Choo gets a takedown into half guard. Choo controlling the pace. Reyes wants to get back to his feet. Choo is figuring out what he wants to do next.
That's one minute gone in the round. Choo is pressing down on Reyes's thigh, looking to free his foot. Reyes is holding on for now. Choo is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Reyes is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Choo throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. You get the feeling that Reyes really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Reyes knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Choo on the ground. Choo is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Reyes can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Choo working for a submission but Reyes is keeping him at bay. Reyes is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Choo wants to take his opponent's back but Reyes doesn't allow it. Choo jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Reyes manages to avoid the submission attempt. Reyes is trying to get back to his feet. Choo wants to control but Reyes is keeping him busy. Choo is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Reyes is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Choo is looking to take a break and control but Reyes is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Reyes is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Choo advances nicely into full mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Daniel Choo dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Choo tries to move into range but Reyes moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Nice sprawl there from Reyes as Choo shoots in. Reyes scores with a jab to the body. Choo takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Reyes throws a sloppy head kick and Choo moves out of range easily. Choo checks the leg kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Decent striking displayed by Reyes there. Reyes cracks Choo with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Reyes swings for the body but Choo moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. A decent looking cross lands there for Reyes. Choo dives in and grabs Reyes's left leg, looking for a takedown. Reyes pushes down on Choo's head and hops out. Choo shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Reyes pinned against the cage. Reyes gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Stevie Reyes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniel Choo. Reyes ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Choo checks the leg kick. Reyes walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Choo checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Choo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Reyes but Reyes pushes him off and we're back to square one. Reyes lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Choo at a distance.
Reyes lunges at Choo with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Choo's hand. Stevie Reyes is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Reyes lands an overhand right. Choo shoots in and drives through. Reyes sprawls well. Reyes misses the shot to the body. Reyes fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Choo looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Choo tries to close the distance and clinch but Reyes swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Choo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Reyes tries to avoid it but Choo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Reyes to the ground. Reyes escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. The crowd cheers as Reyes lands an impressive looking overhand right. Choo doesn't seem phased though. Reyes attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Choo finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Reyes lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Choo at a distance.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Reyes!
Reyes misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Reyes throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Choo looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Reyes working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Choo. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Reyes is looking to stand up but Choo isn't so interested in that idea. Choo content to stall in guard here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Stevie Reyes dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Reyes fails to land with a series of punches.
Choo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Reyes.
Choo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Choo tries to move to mount but Reyes blocks the move with his legs. Choo throwing shots but missing, from side control. Reyes tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
That's one minute gone in the round. Choo controlling from the full mount. Choo's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Reyes is trying to stand. Choo content just to control the position here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Choo lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
You get the feeling that Reyes really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Choo is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Reyes is surviving well by controlling Choo's body position as best he can. Choo takes Reyes's back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Choo tightening his grip on Reyes, looking for the choke. Choo takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Reyes wants to get back to his feet. Reyes fending off the submission attempt from Choo. Choo is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Reyes is trying to stand back up. Choo trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Reyes doesn't escape. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Choo trying to control.
And that's the end of the fight! Daniel Choo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Choo has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
