Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Kamron Ydarush! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Russell! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Donald Grub and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Russell feints and as Ydarush raises his hands in defense, Russell changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Russell got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ydarush has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Russell has managed to get both his arms back between Ydarush's legs - danger averted. Russell stopping the sweep attempt from Ydarush. Russell pushing down on Ydarush's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Ydarush is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Ydarush is working hard here to advance position. Russell has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Ydarush is trying desperately to improve position. Russell in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
That's one minute gone in the round. Russell postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Ydarush looks a forlorn figure.
The referee warns Ydarush that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Russell raining down shots from the mount! Russell landing shots from mount. Russell tries to control but Ydarush wriggling away. Ydarush tries to reverse the position but Russell maintains control. Russell lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Russell is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Ydarush can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Russell tries to control but Ydarush wriggling away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Russell with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Ydarush is in all sorts of trouble here.
Russell raining down shots from the mount! BOOM! Russell connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Ydarush is looking to get to half guard. Russell landing punches. A nice elbow there by Russell. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ydarush tries to reverse the position but Russell maintains control. Russell landing strikes, looking to finish!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Russell lands with some strikes. Ydarush sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Russell thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Ydarush wants to improve his position but Russell is controlling well.
Ydarush is looking to control Russell's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ydarush avoid being mounted? Russell wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ydarush keeps working. Ydarush trying to control from the bottom.
Ydarush regains full guard. Nicely done. Ydarush looking to hit a scissor sweep but Russell is one step ahead there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Russell fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Russell misses with a hook. Ydarush ducked under it nicely. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Russell. Russell tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ydarush sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Russell somewhat. Kamron Ydarush has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Russell. Ydarush displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Russell. Russell is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ydarush sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Russell looks gassed! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ydarush slaps away a takedown attempt from Russell, before circling back to the center of the mat. Ydarush drops Russell with a beautiful combination! Russell stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Ydarush is looking for the KO! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jack Russell dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Russell fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ydarush avoids it really well and circles away.
It looks like Jack Russell has been cut. Jack Russell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ydarush misses with a few strikes there.
The fighters circling - Russell throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Ydarush fails to land with a series of punches.
Russell is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Ydarush's half guard. Ydarush wants to get back to full guard. Russell throwing shots but Ydarush is blocking nicely. Russell is controlling the pace.

Russell throws a big right hand that misses. Russell is in close to Ydarush's body, working some short punches and elbows. Russell working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Ydarush will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Russell shoots in but no luck this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Russell looks for a takedown but Ydarush sprawls well. Kamron Ydarush has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Russell. Nice shot lands for Ydarush. Ydarush stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ydarush wants it to stay on the feet. Russell wants to clinch. Ydarush lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Russell circles away quickly and effectively. Russell shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ydarush pinned against the cage. Ydarush gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Russell fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Russell avoids a punch combination nicely.
Ydarush cracks Russell with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Russell looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Ydarush finish him?
Russell is rocked!
That's three minutes gone in the round. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Russell is defended easily by Ydarush. Russell is still on wobbly legs! Can Ydarush finish him? Kamron Ydarush is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Ydarush lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in Russell - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for Ydarush!
