Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Burton Wheeler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Austin DeTienne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Burton Wheeler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Austin DeTienne! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Anthony Taglia and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! DeTienne rushes Wheeler and presses him up against the cage. Wheeler can't get the takedown.
DeTienne decides to pull guard. Wheeler throws a big right hand that misses. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wheeler stops DeTienne from standing up. Wheeler forces his way into half guard. Wheeler is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
DeTienne tries to get to full guard but Wheeler has control of the leg. Wheeler not doing much here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. DeTienne looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wheeler is trying to control. DeTienne wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. DeTienne won't allow Wheeler to pass to mount. DeTienne wants to get back to full guard. Wheeler is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Good exchange - DeTienne coming out on top.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Wheeler shoots in for a takedown but DeTienne shows good takedown defense. Wheeler gets a takedown into half guard. DeTienne is trying to control but can't.
DeTienne works his way to full guard. Good work. Wheeler loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. DeTienne controlling Wheeler's posture. Wheeler won't allow DeTienne to get back to his feet. DeTienne looks gassed!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wheeler trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Wheeler trying to control but DeTienne is working from the bottom. Wheeler controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. DeTienne keeping full guard, as Wheeler tries to pass. DeTienne keeping moving, preventing Wheeler from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Wheeler has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. DeTienne throws a right and a left that both miss. Wheeler shoots for a takedown but DeTienne saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Burton Wheeler. That's going to take a lot out of him. DeTienne throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Wheeler's head. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. DeTienne chopping away at his opponent's legs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Austin DeTienne will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
DeTienne leaves Wheeler with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Wheeler looks to land a combination but DeTienne avoids it well. DeTienne rushes Wheeler and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. DeTienne gets control of Wheeler's arms and successfully pulls guard. DeTienne will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. DeTienne looking for a guillotine here but Wheeler defends easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. DeTienne is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Wheeler is controlling him. Wheeler is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Wheeler wants to control from the top but DeTienne keeps moving. DeTienne looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Wheeler has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Wheeler is pushing down on DeTienne's leg trying to pass to half guard. DeTienne is fighting to maintain full guard but Wheeler has managed to sneak the leg through. Wheeler is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
DeTienne is staying active underneath Wheeler, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Wheeler is sneakily working for an arm triangle but DeTienne sees it coming and defends easily. DeTienne is trying to stand back up but Wheeler is controlling him
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wheeler thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed DeTienne's head. Wheeler is working for a kimura but DeTienne is defending it quite comfortably.
Wheeler is looking to take a break and control but DeTienne is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. DeTienne is trying to control but can't.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Nice sprawl there from DeTienne as Wheeler shoots in.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Wheeler stuffs the takedown. Wheeler ducks right into an uppercut from DeTienne. DeTienne shoots and misses and Wheeler counters with a straight right hand. Wheeler doesn't succeed with the takedown and DeTienne counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Wheeler's guard now. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Burton Wheeler. That's going to take a lot out of him. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Wheeler is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Austin DeTienne showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Wheeler with a poor takedown and DeTienne counters with a nice double leg into half guard. DeTienne is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Wheeler has managed to free his arm - good work. DeTienne is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's one minute gone in the round. Wheeler looking to hit a scissor sweep but DeTienne is one step ahead there. Wheeler looking for a guillotine here but DeTienne defends easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. DeTienne avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Wheeler has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. DeTienne is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Wheeler. Wheeler is not content to let DeTienne control the position. DeTienne tries for a kimura but Wheeler is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. DeTienne wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Wheeler, who protects the arm well. DeTienne wants to control for a moment but Wheeler uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. Wheeler regains full guard. Nicely done.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Wheeler not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
DeTienne is posturing up here but Wheeler has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! DeTienne tries to roll out but it's too tight and DeTienne has to tap! Slick submission there by Wheeler!
