Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dmitriy Boyko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carson Cools (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carson Cools is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cools decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Cools is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Boyko sees it coming and defends easily.

Cools tries to stall but Boyko uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Cools shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Boyko's guard.

Cools shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Boyko is trying to defend but Cools finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Cools breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Boyko feints and as Cools raises his hands in defense, Boyko changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Boyko misses with the ground and pound.
Cools is trying to get back to half guard.
Boyko wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cools keeps working.
Cools is looking for a sweep.

Cools seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Boyko does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Well Cools has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
