Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vitor Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Moss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Vitor Souza! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jay Moss! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Emerson Jorge and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Moss avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Moss shoots for a takedown but Souza saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Souza lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
It looks like Jay Moss has been cut. Souza throws a jab but it's blocked by Moss. Moss tries for a takedown but Souza sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Souza bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Moss! He dives into his guard looking to finish!
Moss is rocked! Souza passes Moss's left leg - he's now in half guard. Moss is still in real trouble! Can Souza finish him? Souza moves into full mount! Moss won't be happy about that! Moss seems to have recovered his senses. This has been an exciting period of action! Souza wants to take Moss's back here but Moss is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.

That's one minute gone in the round. Moss's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Souza jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Moss manages to avoid the submission attempt. Souza tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Souza stands up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Souza misses with a two punch combination.
Souza throws a big shot that misses. Souza misses with a few strikes there.
Jay Moss seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Souza swings for the body but Moss moves out of range.
Souza throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Moss throws a right hand that Souza ducks under and follows up with a left that Souza also avoids with ease. Souza looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Souza will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Moss shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Souza is working to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Souza is squirming around, avoiding Moss's attempts to control the action. Souza is trying to escape the mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Vitor Souza dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jay Moss's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Souza ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Moss moves away. Moss shoots in for a takedown but Souza shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Moss avoids the body shot from Souza.

and Moss counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Moss trying to control but Souza is working from the bottom. Souza is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Souza looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Moss passes into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Souza is trying to improve his position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Moss misses with a few strikes there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Souza dodges the punch combination from Moss.

Souza throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Moss counters with a shoot takedown. Souza fights it but they end up in guard. Souza is looking for a triangle here but Moss uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Souza is looking to reverse the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Souza stops Moss from passing to mount. Souza is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Souza manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Souza passes to full mount! Souza moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Moss has worked his arm free - good work by Moss!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Moss is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Souza advances to mount. Moss is squirming around, avoiding Souza's attempts to control the action. Moss trying desperately to get to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jay Moss showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Jay Moss's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Souza ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Moss moves away. Moss displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Souza throws out the jab. Moss shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Souza as he avoids it easily. Moss takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Souza takes a swing at Moss's ribcage but misses. Souza throws out a loose jab but Moss uses good head movement to avoid it. A nice combination there by Souza.

and Moss counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Moss. This has been an exciting period of action! Souza is looking to stand up but Moss isn't so interested in that idea. Moss trying to control the position from guard on top but Souza is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Souza has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Moss can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Souza wants to stand up but Moss is controlling him. Moss has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Souza to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Moss is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Souza pulls down on the head and he's put Moss to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:04 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Vitor Souza!
