Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Roycio Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rene Shaker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shaker is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by AC/DC, Back in black. Roycio Gracie has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roycio Gracie! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rene Shaker! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Shaker looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Gracie drives through and clinches with Shaker against the cage.
Shaker lands a damaging elbow.
It looks like Roycio Gracie has been cut. Shaker makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Shaker is looking to control Gracie's arms but Gracie gets an underhook and turns him. Now Shaker has his back to the cage. Gracie is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Gracie tries to pull guard but Shaker holds him up against the cage and eventually Gracie drops back down to his feet.
Knees in the clinch landing for Shaker.
Gracie tries to throw a body punch but Shaker avoids it by throwing Gracie back against the cage. Shaker slowing the pace effectively. Shaker pushes Gracie back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Shaker with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Shaker landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Gracie is trying to drag Shaker to the mat but Shaker just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Gracie's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Shaker throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Gracie blocks it with crossed arms. Gracie fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roycio Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him. Shaker stops a takedown attempt from Gracie.
Shaker escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Shaker looks to throw the jab but Gracie is out of range. Gracie misses with a series of wild punches.
Shaker drives through and clinches with Gracie against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shaker displaying some good clinch control by pressing Gracie up against the cage. Shaker wants to stall.
Shaker tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Shaker misses with a knee to the head. Shaker misses with a knee strike.
Shaker throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Gracie blocks it with crossed arms. Gracie has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Shaker uses from the top position. Shaker got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gracie has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Shaker has managed to get both his arms back between Gracie's legs - danger averted. Gracie throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Shaker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Shaker throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Shaker accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Shaker wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving. Gracie is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shaker throwing strikes but missing. Shaker is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Gracie has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Shaker is looking to defend but Gracie has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Shaker! Gracie pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Shaker taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Roycio Gracie! Roycio Gracie is the new middleweight champion!
