Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kenny Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DeShaw Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). DeShaw Taylor is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez gets a takedown into half guard. Sanchez is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Sanchez wants to take a breather but Taylor is having none of it. Taylor is trying to control but can't.
Sanchez trying to pass the guard but Taylor defending well. Taylor is trying to control but can't.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Sanchez in particular looking to stall. Taylor flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Taylor makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Taylor. Sanchez gets to his feet - Taylor follows without any prompting. Taylor moves away from the strike by Sanchez. Taylor tries to clinch there but Sanchez circles away.
Taylor closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Taylor lands in his opponent's guard. Sanchez is looking for a triangle but Taylor pushes his legs off easily.
Taylor tries to free his leg and advance position but Sanchez is retaining full guard. Taylor must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Taylor slips nicely into half guard. Sanchez keeps control of the position for the meantime. Taylor wants to free his trapped foot but Sanchez is holding on for dear life with his legs. Sanchez is breathing heavily. Taylor working over Sanchez with some ground and pound. Sanchez looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Taylor wants to stand but Sanchez has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sanchez is not content to let Taylor control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Still in half guard, Taylor seems content to control. Sanchez is refusing to be controlled, as Taylor sits in half guard. Taylor really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sanchez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Taylor wants to pass the guard but Sanchez is defending well. Sanchez is positioning himself well to prevent Taylor advancing to mount. Sanchez's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Sanchez is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Taylor is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Taylor looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Sanchez makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Sanchez. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Kenny Sanchez will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Taylor fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Kenny Sanchez is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Taylor plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Sanchez closes this distance looking for a takedown but Taylor circles away. Sanchez shoots in looking for a takedown. Taylor tries to sprawl out of it but Sanchez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Taylor manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Taylor clinches up against the cage. A battle for position here, against the cage. Sanchez tries to work over Taylor's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Taylor lands a body shot. Sanchez wants to stall.
That's one minute gone in the round. Taylor looking for a takedown. Sanchez wants a takedown but no success here.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kenny Sanchez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Taylor has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Sanchez is trying to keep an underhook but Taylor manages to get the takedown into half guard. Taylor stands up from half guard. A nice combination there by Taylor.
Sanchez fails with the takedown and Taylor counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Taylor tries to free his leg and advance position but Sanchez is retaining full guard. Sanchez keeping moving, preventing Taylor from controlling successfully. Sanchez is looking for a triangle but Taylor pushes his legs off easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Taylor stopping the sweep attempt from Sanchez. Sanchez punching from the bottom - just letting Taylor know he's still in a fight. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sanchez wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Taylor manages to pass to side control. Taylor seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sanchez trying to hold on to Taylor's head to control him but Taylor postures up.
Taylor missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. DeShaw Taylor has got the better of the ground game so far. Taylor wants to control but Sanchez is keeping him busy. Sanchez wants to get back to his feet.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Sanchez's corner calls for a 1-2. Sanchez obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Taylor is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Taylor shoots for a double leg takedown but Sanchez sprawls well. He's pushed Taylor's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. The fight stays on the outside here - Taylor looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Sanchez scores a takedown into full mount! Sanchez can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Taylor is looking to escape. Sanchez jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Taylor manages to avoid the submission attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
DeShaw Taylor showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Sanchez's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Taylor throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Sanchez was covering up waiting for the punch and Taylor finishes the takedown easily into guard. Sanchez controlling Taylor's posture. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sanchez is on top in guard.
Sanchez looking to sit in guard and control but Taylor gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanchez has his hands on Taylor's head, controlling the position. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Taylor trying to control the position from guard on top but Sanchez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Taylor accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Sanchez looking to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Taylor wanted to stand there but Sanchez had control of the position. Taylor stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sanchez swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Sanchez changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Taylor looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Sanchez slows the pace down.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Taylor is trying to get back to half guard. Taylor is trying to control Sanchez's posture but Sanchez avoids it. You can see the frustration on Taylor's face as Sanchez controls the position. Taylor tries to improve position but can't. Sanchez stands up and beckons Taylor to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. A chopping leg kick lands by Taylor. Sanchez misses with a kick to the body and Taylor counters with a stiff right hand. Taylor connects with a high kick. Sanchez is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Taylor. Taylor scores with a takedown into Sanchez's guard. Sanchez is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Taylor is aware though and is defending well. Sanchez striking off his back, scoring a few points. Taylor throws a strike but Sanchez rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kenny Sanchez. I think Sanchez has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
