Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tennis Tim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jun Akiyama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tim comes to the cage accompanied by Gangsta bitch. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tennis Tim! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jun Akiyama! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tim shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Akiyama sprawls well. Akiyama wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tim gets slowly back to his feet. Akiyama looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Akiyama drives through with a takedown into guard. Tim wants to stand and escape but Akiyama is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Akiyama is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Tim is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Akiyama tries to stand but Tim is controlling from the bottom.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Tim shoots and misses and Akiyama counters with a nice double leg into side control. Tim won't be happy with that. Tim wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Akiyama controlling the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Akiyama is trying to move to mount but Tim reverses beautifully and ends up in Akiyama's guard. Akiyama throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Akiyama has a closed guard, preventing Tim from standing up. Tim wants to control from the top but Akiyama keeps moving. Akiyama has Tim pulled in close to control his posture.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tim won't allow Akiyama to sweep him here. Tim gets to his feet - Akiyama follows without any prompting. Akiyama takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Akiyama shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Tim counters with a stiff right hand. Akiyama shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Tim pushes Akiyama off looking to stand but Akiyama dives back in and keeps control.
Akiyama throws a strike but Tim avoids it easily and moves to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jun Akiyama dominated that round. That's time! Tim's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Akiyama is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Tim's half guard. Tim tries to kick Akiyama off but Akiyama keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Akiyama wants to control but Tim is keeping him busy. Akiyama throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Akiyama wants to take a breather but Tim is having none of it. Tim is trying to stand.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Akiyama looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Tim looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Tim pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Tim tries for a takedown but Akiyama circles away easily and Akiyama decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Tim's guard. Akiyama controlling from the top position. Let's hope that Akiyama has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Akiyama trying to control the position from guard on top but Tim is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Akiyama prevents Tim from getting back to his feet. Akiyama postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Akiyama wants to pass the guard but Tim is keeping the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Akiyama is stalling in the full guard. Tim wants to stand but Akiyama is controlling the position. Tim utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Tim throws a head kick that misses and Akiyama decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Tim's guard. Akiyama stops Tim from standing up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Akiyama decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Tim, up you get! Akiyama feints and as Tim raises his hands in defense, Akiyama changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Akiyama stops Tim from standing up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jun Akiyama showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Akiyama walks into a left hand. Tim keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Tim wants to clinch and Akiyama counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Akiyama. Akiyama prevents Tim from getting back to his feet. Akiyama content to stall in guard here. Akiyama prevents Tim from getting back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Akiyama seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Tim wants to stand up but Akiyama is controlling him. Tim trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Akiyama content to stall in guard here. Akiyama won't allow Tim to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tim can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Akiyama controls the pace.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jun Akiyama. Akiyama decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Akiyama not doing much here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Akiyama performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Tim avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Akiyama. Tennis Tim has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jun Akiyama is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
And that's the end of the fight! Jun Akiyama comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Akiyama winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
