Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Percy Evans! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sparky Jackson! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Evans shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Jackson looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Jackson throws out a loose jab but Evans uses good head movement to avoid it. Evans throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jackson's waist but Jackson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Evans off to one side. Evans shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jackson sprawls well. Jackson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Evans gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Percy Evans. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jackson jabs at Evans's body. Evans shoots for a takedown but Jackson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Evans moves out of range of the strikes. Jackson throws a big shot that misses. That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson throws a half hearted mid kick. Evans looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Evans wants to pass the guard but Jackson is keeping the position. Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Evans. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Evans thows a big elbow that misses. Jackson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Evans throws a big right hand that misses. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Evans trying to control but Jackson is working from the bottom. Evans would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Evans postures up in Jackson's guard and throws a big left but Jackson blocks it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Jackson throws a series of punches but Evans moves out of range. Jackson dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Jackson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jackson misses with a straight right. Jackson looks to throw the jab but Evans is out of range. Evans has a takedown stuffed. A slow jab from Jackson misses its intended target. Left hook, right uppercut from Jackson. Evans shoots for a double leg takedown but Jackson sprawls well. He's pushed Evans's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Evans is standing up, even though he is in mount. Evans shoots for a double leg takedown but Jackson sprawls well. He's pushed Evans's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jackson connects with a right hand. Evans shakes it off. Jackson lands a nice shot that snaps Evans's head back.

Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Evans has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Evans in side control, throwing shots but Jackson defends. Evans tries for a kimura but Jackson is defending well. Evans prevents Jackson from escaping the position. Percy Evans has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Jackson scores with a hook to the body. Evans takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Jackson throws an overhand right that lands on Evans's shoulder, as Evans tries to avoid the shot. Evans lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Evans shoots in and drives through. Jackson sprawls well. Evans moves out of range of the strikes. Jackson cracks a nice hook into Evans's ribs. Evans throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Jackson thows a left - swing and a miss!
And that's the end of the fight! Percy Evans showed his dominance in that final round. I think Jackson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
