Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fedor Emalianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and ratchang noi voravut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). ratchang noi voravut told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fedor Emalianenko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, ratchang noi voravut!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Sergei Dronov and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emalianenko chopping away at his opponent's legs.
noi voravut fails with an attempt to clinch.
noi voravut misses with a straight right.
noi voravut takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Emalianenko scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Emalianenko stands up and we're back to a striking position.
A head kick misses from Emalianenko.
Emalianenko tries to clinch up but noi voravut circles away and keeps his distance.
noi voravut tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Emalianenko bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
noi voravut looks gassed!
Emalianenko tries to advance to mount but can't.
Emalianenko tries to move to full mount but noi voravut actually manages to regain half guard.
Emalianenko moves into full mount! noi voravut won't be happy about that!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Emalianenko looking to control but noi voravut is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Emalianenko goes for an armbar but he's not got it… noi voravut turns into him and now he's in Emalianenko's guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
noi voravut drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Emalianenko manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now noi voravut has Emalianenko in his guard.
noi voravut keeping moving, preventing Emalianenko from controlling successfully.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Emalianenko accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

noi voravut throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fedor Emalianenko dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


noi voravut clinches but Emalianenko breaks the clinch

and Emalianenko counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in noi voravut's guard now.
Emalianenko trying to control the position from guard on top but noi voravut is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Emalianenko could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

noi voravut is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Emalianenko is aware though and is defending well.
Emalianenko has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Emalianenko wants to stand and escape but instead noi voravut has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
noi voravut is pushing down on Emalianenko's leg trying to pass to half guard. Emalianenko is fighting to maintain full guard but noi voravut has managed to sneak the leg through.

noi voravut in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Emalianenko tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from noi voravut!
